Base entry-level tablet.

This is a great entry-level tablet if you can get it on sale. I would not pay MSRP for this tablet, at that price band, you'll get better tablets if you shell out another $30-$50. The display is okay at best for 7", being 1200x800. Pixelation everywhere. Don't expect high quality video playback.
Battery life is good for a day if you play games on it all day. Now that Google Maps allows map downloads, it doesn't hurt to have this tablet around on long road trips.
The camera is ONLY 3MP and no flash. 2014 low end smart phones come with 5MP. The front facing camera is only 1.2MP. It's really difficult to see why they even bothered to put a camera on.
The sound is rough. It does get fairly loud though. That's nice.
If you have kids, this is a great price point compared to Samsung's main competitor. You know kids will drop/throw everything around, so when this one breaks, it doesn't break the bank.
I've always wanted a tablet, wanted not needed, and after purchasing this one I will make sure that the next tablet I buy will have the hardware performance that I need.
One thing that really throws me off is the placement of the app/home/back buttons. These buttons should've been centered in their on respective columns and not placed so closed to the actual center. The spacing is terrible. Compare the placement of these buttons to a smartphone or another tablet and you'll see what I mean.
The only redeeming factor of this tablet is being able to get it at a sale price.

Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, low-end cpu, low resolution, low-end gpu, constant lock-up, choppy video playback, low quality sound, vga cameras, storage capacity, cheap plastic backing, no flash

This is the best product for a great value. Watch out iPad users the Samsung galaxy tab is giving you a run for your money!

Beautiful display and ready for many movies, applications, games and more I really enjoy Samsung products. I would highly recommend Samsung if your inot the market of electronics.

I love this tablet it let u do many different things and is it very nice, fast and easy to handle. I would recommend this to all my family and friends. I did and 2 of my family members have one know. And u r tech. Support help was very good as well. Thank you again

My husband felt neglected when I got a tablet but he didnt want one as large as my 8 inch so we got the Galaxy tab 4 7 inch. HE loves it. Is on it all the time. Since hes a stroke patient its easy for him to handle & understand. Great product.

This is a very nice tablet. The user-interface is very clean and simple to navigate. It is fast and efficient. It is nice to be able to install sd card for more space, but I wish more apps had the move to sd option as the tablet's 8 gigs run out pretty fast with only a portion of that actually available for apps. Otherwise, I love the tablet, its slim design and good battery life.
