great tablet for the money

Love it, only thing I wish it had is hdmi output. The size and build quality are great, the on screen keyboard is eons better than my (much more expensive) iPad. Samsung seems to deliver great value, in my experiences and this is no exception.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, value
Cons: Not high def, no hdmi out
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but not Great

I really do like this tablet, despite a few things that bother me. It's a really comfortable size and has snappy response to input. I love the micro SD card slot, but this is also the source of one of my complaints. The 8GB of on board storage gets consumed really fast so you really need the micro SD card to be the primary storage. Unfortunately, it isn't straightforward to do this. You need to go into individual apps and set each of them to use the external storage card. Okay, that works but is tedious. I made this change for the native "Gallery" app as well as Plex. Next up was GoPro. I have no way of telling GoPro to use external storage, but it sends all photos into the Gallery app. Didn't I tell it to use external storage? Yep. But it's not. After a few emails with GoPro they washed their hands of it and said that they rely on the Gallery app, and it should place the photos in the default location. So I need to contact Samsung support and see what's going on. What a pain. My only other real complaint is the addition of all of the Samsung apps along with their custom UI and the inability to keep up with the Android updates. I only have 8GB here guys. Don't fill it up with software I'll never use. I need the option to delete it.
Pros: Inexpensive, good battery life, responsive
Cons: convoluted storage situation, doesn't allow android upgrades, a lot of 'required' software that you'll never use

I bought this to learn about tablets and electronics in general. I'm behind the times and felt like I'd better try to keep up. It has been very user friendly and I'm enjoying learning.

I find this product very good it has great features . It tells me when the cpu is over heated an needs cooling down. I love everything about this tablet and yes I would recommend this product definitely.

Great product but wanted something more

Samsung has ever remained innovative. I love the design and performance but I expected something more. If only this device had a SIM card support and came with a headphone, it would have surely impressed me. This device has a headphones port but doesn't come with headphones. A bit embarrassing. In addition, I wonder why Samsung didn't care to put SIM card facilities in it. If it had phone calling facilities, the device would prove to be a ROSE WITHOUT THORNS.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations

I just love Samsung devices! Started using them about a year ago and I've never wanted to switch to another brand! I love the design and home interfaces of the Samsung devices! May God continue to further bless this company to get even better products out!

Nice tablet

I had a nexus 7 and it was fine but had memory issues. So picked up the Tab 4 after some recommendations from friends. I does everything I need, email, calendar and limited office products. I have a Kindle and Nook accounts and it works nice for reading app and so far in the limited time I have had it battery seems to have good life and charges fairly fast. I am pleased with it.
