I have the OGT (Original Galaxy Tab 7.0) and the GT3 LTE and they have been pretty good, taking all the abuse I dish out, but features are missing on the 4. There's nothing really to drive a purchase versus a GT3 (which also lacks AF, btw).
Multiple cores don't really do all that much for you and lack of autofocus kills the ability to scan codes. Lack of flash isn't very good, either. What do these add to the price? $10? Especially if you buy a premium LTE unit, these features should be included, meaning an option design. It really wouldn't cost much to make the design compatible with an AF/flash camera module.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Durable
Cons: no auto focus or flash
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Many good apps. The tablet has a big problem remembering the passwords i type in for secure wifi networks, particularly for my home network. It should also automatically connect to my home wifi. I have to go to Settings and setup the connection again each time. This is a serious usability issue.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: does not remember wifi passwords

Overall for a little device like this isn't bad at all especially if you don't want an expensive tablet but good for performing daily tasks is awesome. I liked the way it performs on certain apps but wish it could be just a bit better on other games.
This is a great tablet. Small and light, fits easily in my purse. Picture is great. I have my Kindle App on it and it is easy to read the books on it. Definitely as good or better than the iPad, at a much lower cost.
Decent sized display, but not very good resolution. Seems VERY slow even for simple web browsing. Touchscreen isn't as responsive as you'd think. Would not recommend.
Pros: Bright display, Built-in speakers
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, slow performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I did recently get Samsung Galaxy Tab and believe its a great one for daily use as well multitask like skype, social networking apps & much more. Touch is good but can't be termed as great as well has good juice for daily core activities. Not the idle piece for gamer's as it has limitations in processing but absolutely recommend for daily use. Fun to have one such tab where in we can stay connected with loved ones via social apps as well occasionally jump in for office Skype interviews.
