I am thoroughly impressed with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 tablet. The tablet has so many features that I use all the time it is the perfect mobile solution for me when I am away from my Desktop PC. When I am on the road traveling it provides me with easy access to all of its functions. It is easy to pack and carry at train stations, buses, and cars. I love the multiple screens. Watching videos is superb. All of my apps work well with this tablet, I have never had a problem. I will purchase a Samsung tablet the next I buy a new tablet.
The Galaxy Tab 4 has all of the features you might expect any mobile android device to have as far as app support. With 4.4 kitkat, there is a wide variety of available apps that this device supports. However, it's limited internal storage space (8GB) and inability to install apps directly to the sd card make it difficult to install apps bigger than a couple of gigabytes (i.e. 3D games). Instead you have to uninstall enough apps or delete enough music or pictures until roughly twice the amount of space required by the app is available, and then restart the tablet in order to install the app. Alternatively you could root your tablet and you some sort of device control app to force install to the sd card, unfortunately, this also requires editing some code in the Operating System. It's all kind of a pain in the but for someone who is not considered "tech savvy" and wants to play Asphalt 8 on their Galaxy Tab 4 after they've already installed facebook and synced half of their dropbox.
If you're not using your tablet for gaming, it's a great controller for home automation, chromecast, and surfing facebook, twitter, periscope, and all those places. It also makes a great music player for your car if you remember to turn wifi off before you drive away past all of the available networks to scan. The reason I say this is because every time it discovers wifi, it has to stop or reset the functions of the antenna making the music playing via bluetooth "skip" like a CD in the 90's.
I also have to say the camera seems like it's pretty good quality except it doesn't seem to have a focusing lens, which means you can't get those really cool depth of field shots of flowers or grasshoppers with a blurry background. And it doesn't seem to perform very well in any scene that isn't lit by the sun. Every indoor photo or video that I've taken with my tablet has been grainy and noisy, and every exterior shot in the daylight that I have taken with it is crystal clear except for in the shadows.
The size of this particular tablet makes it capable of being mounted on most phone stands. and also fit in most coat pockets without a case.
This tablet doesn't remain stable when the battery gets low. It has memory errors, acts like it's overheating and distorts sound playing through the headphone jack.
