The only thing I don't like about this tablet is that when I am using too much ram it will cut the volume level of my headphone jack to about a quarter of the normal sound level. I think that is to save power or something, I wish it would not do this. The only way I know of to fix this problem is to power down then turn back on, restarting doesn't work. Other than this issue I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to everybody before an ipad.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: volume cut out when using too much ram

Great for live music application

I am an entertainer and use the Galaxy tab 4 primarily for playing backing tracks. Sound quality is great and display is easy to read. It is very easy to load the tracks and it is the perfect size for my on stage location. I did however have to use a 3rd party mp3 player because the default kept stopping at random during a performance. Panic!!!
The fact that I can use it o check emails do online searches etc. while on the road is very valuable and saves me from packing a larger laptop. Fits my needs to a "T"

Best tablet I have ever owned

My Tab 4 7" is by far the best tablet I have owned and I have owned several ones different brands. First the design is attractive its easy to hold with one hand, nice & slim. The tablet performs without any flaws or hangups I have not had to reboot once. All the apps open & perform without any issues and there are plenty of apps to download for everyone. The battery life is the main feature that makes this device a winner you get around 10 hours before you need to recharge depending on what you are doing.
I would recommend this tablet to everyone if you want one thats easy to hold but big enough to enjoy all features it has to offer.

Tends to freeze.

Overall this product is very nice. Great screen, color is awesome.
Sound could be a little better. It has a tendency to freeze if I am doing one thing and an email comes in or an app is updated. Rather frustrating, especially since I use this tablet for work. If there is an update that would fix these issues, I would like to know about it.

very useful but not for otg cable wish I got the pro because I do music production on small devices and the on-the-go cable would have been superb if it works but I guess we can't get what we all want.but it syncs up with my samsung smart tv and it does what I needed to do for now maybe you should make an update to where it can work with the OTG cable

This is a great tool for all my needs, i am a maintenance person and this tablet is a helpful for everyday life. i am very happy with the tablet purchase.
My grand dougther is learning how to read and write on the tablet, soon its gonna be her birthday and i am thinking to buy one for her as a birthday present.
