My old dishwasher was much better

I bought this dishwasher to replace a 21 year old dishwasher in February and I have been nothing but disappointed. The dishes are never dry, moisture remains on the sides and sometimes the dishes are not clean. There has been an odor from the moisture that occurs in the dishwasher after a few days. I never once used rinse aid in my old dishwasher and never had any problems. The door is also annoying as it will not stay down unless the bottom drawer is pulled out. I wouldn't recommend this dishwasher to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey mmackey, rinse aid greatly improves drying, reduces water spots, filming, and lubricates wash arm bearing for proper rotation. With it water “sheets” off dishes rather than forming water droplets that cling and leave spots (page 11 in your Owner’s Manual has more information). Soiled dishes left in dishwasher too long can create an odor. Please ensure you are cleaning the glass trap of residue (page 12 in your Owner’s Manual). Your installer may have not adjusted the door springs to balance the weight of door. A correct spring setting allows door to remain horizontal in opened position, yet will rise to close with slight lift of finger. If necessary, increase tension by moving springs to a hole toward rear of unit or decrease by moving them toward front (please see “checking the installation #11”, in your installation instructions). Hey mooksta, I am glad you are happy with the performance of your new dishwasher. Cycle times will vary with options selected. Hot water is necessary to activate dishwasher detergent and melt fatty food soils. An automatic sensor will check the incoming water temperature and, it is not hot enough, the cycle will be lengthened for automatic water heating in the main wash and final rinse of all cycles. Make sure the water coming in to the dishwasher is at least 120°F, and run the water in the sink to clear the cool water in the pipes (like you do before stepping in the shower). I hope this helped.
