Does a great job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was one of the new appliances that were in our house when we bought it about a year ago. This has been one of the better dishwashers we have had. It is quiet, and does a great job getting the dishes clean without prewashing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

dissapointed in workmanship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 6 weeks ago and have already had a repairman replace the top shelf because it could not be pushed back into the machine. It is still not as it should be but takes more "shoving" than I would think necessary. Also the latch to close the door sounded like it would break when setting it for the washing cycle. I am very pleased with the performance of the machine as I have in my past

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this back in March and just installed in in November. We waited until our old dishwasher died. It is visually appealing, quiet and economical but I am not pleased with the quality of the dish washing. I have found it leaves food on the dishes periodically and the dishes are always wet when done. I realize I need to rinse my dishes after eating, but if I have to wash them before I wash them, then what is the point? I read in the manual that the dishes may be wet afterward, but my other dishwasher (not a Frigidaire) would dry them better. I also find the handle to open to not be user friendly. I'm not sure how to explain it, but there isn't much to grab onto and it feels awkward when opening and closing. Perhaps it should be deeper. I kind of wish I would have bought something else.

Yikes! I have some ideas that may help, banders8691. The incoming water temperature should be at least 120°F for efficient cleaning and drying. Before starting a cycle, please run the water in the sink until it is hot, to clear cool water from the pipes. Make sure you are using rinse aid, you can even increase the amount dispensed to help with drying (page 11 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Some plastics may need to be towel dried as they don’t get as hot as metal or glass, so more water collects. To help with food residue left on plates, please consult page 12 in your Owner’s Manual for instructions on cleaning the filters. If you are on a well or have a reverse osmosis system, your home water pressure may be too low. For optimum performance, water pressure should be 20 to 120 pounds per square inch (psi). If you have tried these tips and are still having difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us directly for assistance by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 800-724-7519.
