Poor Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher 1 1/2 week ago. It just didn't wash the dishes as clean as the 19 year old Frigidaire it replaced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WhyNotADuck, I am dismayed to hear your new dishwasher is not performing up to your expectation. The majority of cleaning and drying challenges are related to water temperature. The incoming water temperature should be at least 120°F (at the water heater) for efficient cleaning and drying. Before starting a cycle, please run the water in the sink until it is hot, to clear cool water from the pipes (like you might do before getting in the shower). Make sure you are using rinse aid. You can increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed for more efficient drying (page 11 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Flimsy but Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last dishwasher was a German brand. It was solid, door was heavy, and cycles ran whisper quiet. This Frigidaire is not like this. Everything feels 'cheap' and light duty on this machine. The racks are not versatile, and simple things, like having dinner plates stand upright, are not going to happen. What does matter, though, is the cleaning cycles work well. Dishes come out celan, and that is why we buy a dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
