Worst Dishwasher I've Ever Owned

I do not make my title statement lightly. In my lifetime, I've owned many, including a portable one that connected to a sink faucet, and I've installed more than I care to count. I'll start with the pros of this unit. It's inexpensive, quiet, is roomy, has 3 spray arms, and has a built-in hard food disposer. Now for the cons. From an installation standpoint, it installed fairly easily with a new fresh water hookup. While the water supply line and electrical connections are in the front where they can be accessed in the future by removing the kick plate, the drain connection is in the rear, making it necessary to pull the entire unit to service the drain. In my months using this unit, I can list the following problems with confidence. To get your dishes clean, you must use the longest cycle. The drying cycle is a joke. Have a supply of dry dish towels ready to finish drying, especially if you've washed anything plastic on the top rack. You cannot select a dry cycle by itself. The cutlery tray seems to be an afterthought, as it doesn't anchor to the lower rack in any way, just sits on the right side, and will lean over if it's slightly top heavy. Any long handled utensils will interfere with the middle spray arm, so long spoons, ladles, spatulas, and knives need to be placed in the top rack, being careful not to nick the PVC coating. The racks are made of steel and then PVC coated. The description makes it sound as if the entire racks are made of PVC. The handle is very flimsy feeling, and every time I open the door, I feel like it will snap off in my hand. Other reviewers have noted this as well. All I can say is that I plan to keep this long enough for the warranty to end and it to fail so that I can buy a better one.
