A lot quieter than the old one.

Great price. At first we thought there was something wrong because it runs for 2 hours on normal setting, but last night I checked online and found that many of these newer machines run longer even tho they are said to use less water and less electricity. Not sure how how one would know if it does save on these, just have to trust the energy ratings.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's loud when it runs and there is always a bit of old food particles in it when it's finished running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for sharing your feedback Nancy45. I recommend checking the filter to make sure that it’s not warped or bent so that the food particles are unable to get into the sump. This also could possibly be causing the unfavorable noise during the wash cycle. I hope this information is helpful. I just moved into my apartment 2 days ago with all brand new appliances. I tried to use this dishwasher for the first time and it makes chugging sounds and shuts down. Now I have to contact my super to send in a tech to fix my brand new dishwasher...

Easy Cleaning

We've had our dishwasher now for a couple of months. We have been really impressed with how well it cleans each dish no matter what rack it's on. In our old machine we practically had to handwash everything prior to placing it inside, but that's not the case with the Fridgidaire. We've only used the normal and heavy washes so far, and they are both satisfactory. Our handle did break within a couple of weeks after purchasing the dishwasher, but the company was great about it when we called them; they sent someone out right away to fix the problem, and we've had no issues since. Overall, we're satisfied customers.

I had to find a dishwasher that fit the space of the old one and one that was in my budget. It fit the bill as far as that goes. I am disappointed that the dishes on the top rack are still wet after the dry cycle and the small utensil basket. Otherwise, it works fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We do recommend the continued use of a rinse aid. Also, please confirm that your water heater is set at 120°F (49°C) to assure proper water temperature inside the dishwasher. Lastly, run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. very eay to install. no problems. the silverware basket moves more easily than old unit. does not have any thing to hold in place
