Great dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher 4 months ago to replace an old one that tore up. It was a great price and it works amazingly! I love it. It is also quieter than my old one. Great over all!

Worst dishwasher I've ever had to use.

This was put into our new home by the builder and I hate it.
The handle clasp is too short/close to the top so you need to be careful not to jam your fingers on the counter when you open it.
The top rack is much too close to the top of the dishwasher so if you want to wash wine glasses you need to lie them at an angle, taking up far too much space on the rack.
The silverware rack doesn't even sit securely the way the loading diagram suggests (diagram depicts the rack on the right side, but it wobbles due to the rack's wiring so we need to put it on the front of the rack, taking up valuable dish space.)
Unless you follow the exact loading diagram (which we can't) and wash/rinse ALL bits of food off of your dishes (which we don't have time for), the normal setting doesn't get all of the food off. I'm not talking about 3-day old, burned on grease or stuck-on food, I'm talking about oatmeal in a bowl from this morning. We have to run the heavy setting every time.

But the WORST part about this machine is that it sometimes shuts itself off mid-cycle, or won't even start. It's a mystery after these non-running episodes how I ever get it to decide to run again. I'm not hitting the wrong buttons or in the wrong order; there are only 5 buttons so there's only so much room for error. I'm not accidentally hitting the "delay wash" setting. If you read the manual, its only troubleshoot suggestions are obvious and not anything we're doing/using.
I've used moderately priced dishwashers built in the 90's that work better than this piece of junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recommend checking the filter to make sure that it’s not warped or bent so that the food particles are unable to get into the sump. Not useable for 3 weeks

The new appliance came with the new house. All of our appliances are Frigidaire. We were really disappointed when the dishwasher would stop working after the water drained. We thought we forgot to push the start button or it finished quickly. Then it tripped the breaker. We called the appliance repair with the best reviews. From the time we called until we got an appointment--8 days. The repairman was super nice. Couldn't find the problem and called the company. 3 parts were ordered and it was another 10 days before he returned. He could not see what the problem was, why there was a problem, and was going to send the parts for research. It has only been used 1 time since the repair was completed. HOPEFULLY, the dishwasher will work and I can change my mind and 'review title' to something more positive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
