The dishwasher is very quiet and does a good job cleaning the dishes. The only reason I would not recommend it to a friend, is because it is so hard to open. There seems to a flaw in design of the handle to open the dishwasher. I am a Senior Citizen (84) , but even the younger family members complain about the door latch.

The strong silent type...

After ditching the dishwasher that was purchased with my townhome 10 years ago, we went with this particular Frigidaire and couldn't be happier. I don't need all the bells and whistles on my dishwasher, just a solid performer that I can rely on to clean my dishes everyday. Quiet, easy to use, and a timeless look were my requirements on a dishwasher and this fits the bill and some. I would gladly recommend this dishwasher and its very "wallet-friendly" price tag. Let the old adage of "KISS" guide you on this product and clean dishes will be in your future.

Nice and quiet, but inside design could be more spacious. Large pots and pans are not as easily inserted. Over all a good product, but could improve.

Good Enough

Since I have owned this dishwasher, it has leaked twice and needed service both times by a technician. The heat dry does not dry completely. I do follow all instructions and use products to help with drying and the recommended dish soap.

Super Satisfied

I can't say enough good about the Frigidaire product line !!! When I look for a new appliance , reviews are vital. My husband and myself research the product before we purchase it. This is the second major Frigidaire purchase we have made in the last 5 years. I have a stainless dual fuel over sized stove that I absolutely LOVE. I am so impressed with it that a friend of mine bought the exact same stove. So when it came to needing to purchase a dishwasher , Frigidaire was my first choice!! I did the research , read the reviews and made my decision to purchase my stainless Frigidaire dishwasher!! My next purchase a refrigerator and my research will lead myself and my husband to the Frigidaire line for sure!!! Satisfied is a for sure also dependable !!!

bad handle!

Yes, the thing washes the dishes and is not too loud, but the handle is impossible. Way too narrow, you can't get a grip on it, and if your hands are wet, forget it!
Really lousy design

Great Quality & Style for the money!

This dishwasher was a new install in a home that previously did not have a dishwasher. It was purchased as part of a 4-piece kitchen suite.
DESIGN
The design/aesthetics of this dishwasher is fantastic, especially for the price paid. The contrast of black and stainless steel go well together, so the unit is pleasing to the eye. I've only had mine installed for a little over a month now, and have had several compliments on it and the rest of my Frigidaire suite.
It has fairly basic features/controls, not all the bells and whistles like other units. However, that is to be expected with a unit that's more budget-friendly.
The only design flaws I see with the unit are the door handle/latch and the vent - the door latch is easy to engage in order to open the door, but there's very little to grab on to; you have to use your fingertips to get the thing open. a door latch with a bit more curvature and a front-facing surface would provide more grip for the user.
The vent is located in the door in such a way that the hot, heavily most steam flows right to the underside of my countertop, which is a laminate. The exposed wood underneath is getting a bit wet, which concerns me a bit. How long will it take for the material of my countertop to get soggy/waterlogged? Luckily, I'm single and live alone, so the dishwasher only gets ran about once a week.
FEATURES
Like I mentioned before, this dishwasher doesn't have a lot for features. However, this is to be expected for a lower-cost unit. I'm pleased with what is offered on this unit, and it gets the job done!
QUALITY
The quality of this fridge isn't surprising - for a budget-friendly unit, the quality is about as good as it gets. Many factors affect the bottom line of a product from a business standpoint - quality of raw materials, workmanship, and manufacturing/assembly techniques are key. For a unit of this design and features available, the quality is pretty high. However, I do have a couple of concerns on this front as well - the door latch/handle and the stainless steel front cover.
The door latch is cheap plastic (like the whole upper console on the door). Because of the feel and sound of the latch when opening and closing, I'm convinced the latching mechanism itself also has several (if not all) plastic components. Over time these will wear out, and eventually the door latch will no longer work - either locking you out of your unit, or making it impossible to lock and wash dishes.
The stainless front cover is nice appearing, but don't play rough with it (I feel sorry for families that own this and have kids/pets). It is very thin gauge material and will easily dent/crease. This ties in to the bottom line cost of the unit in relationship to quality...stainless steel isn't cheap. I'd recommend that this cover be thicker in the future.
It also seems that the stainless cover isn't mounted the best - I fear that, after my dishwasher gets "broken in", I will start to hear vibratory noises due to the stainless cover and the way it is mounted. It would have been a good idea to use some adhesive foam rubber on the backside of the cover to isolate vibration from the unit reaching the door.
All in all, this is a good solid unit for someone looking for a dependable, low-cost dishwasher that will last at least a few years, if not longer. Having good quality water, using easily dissolved detergents, and gentle handling of the door and controls will ensure this unit will last.

Buy something else!

It looks nice, but it really hasn't gotten my dishes clean and that's what I primarily care about. It's just not powerful enough and there are soap spots on my dishes all the time. It came with my new apartment so I don't really have a choice in products, but I would recommend looking at other dishwashers if you are able.
