Heat dry is worthless, washes poorly

This dishwasher was recently installed in our home by the landlord. We are not impressed. The "heat dry" does heat up the dishes, but if you leave the door shut, all of the dishes and silverware come out wet, hours after the washing cycle is done. Opening the door and pulling the trays out to let the water evaporate seems to help. Speaking of the door, it's lightweight. We have a custom-made stoneware dish set, and this door sags when the lower shelf is pulled out. While I don't let my kids climb on dishwasher doors, this one feels so flimsy, I'd be concerned about it breaking. About once a week, the door on the soap dispenser doesn't open for reasons we don't know. There's nothing obstructing the doors. The dishes are sufficiently cleaned about half the time. We don't pack in the dishes, so there's plenty of space for water to move around, and yet we have dishes come out that need rewashing. The dishwasher this one replaced did a better job, and that was a 10 year old washer. We won't be purchasing a fridgadaire for our own home.

Broke down in a couple of months

The dishwasher was delivered on 4/10/15 and it functioned sporadically, sometimes stopping mid cycle and so on. Finally in August it stopped working. The service people came by after a week of having registered the complaint and replaced the front switch panel under warranty. Its working since then. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple design

It was easy to install and seems to be working well. Only issue is opening it is hard sometimes because lip by release handle is hard to grasp.
