This hose was necessary for the installation of our new washer, and was picked out for us by the sales staff (actually Geek Squad staff since washing machine sales staff were unavailable). Works fine with our new washer. My only question is why is not just part of the washer purchase, and not a separate item that must be purchase with the washer??!!
