I had to buy it because Best Buy said that they wouldn't install my machine otherwise. I could install it myself, but I needed them to haul and deliver the machine, so I had to accept their requirement. That's why it's a one star.

This hose will change your life (compared to not having the hose). If you are looking for the perfect 6' hose for your washer, this is the hose for you!! Not only would I recommend this to friends, I would recommend it to you.

A Must-Have for Your Washer!

My wife and I purchased these braided stainless steel hoses for our new Whirlpool washer. We had used them before on our previous washer. They are the only way to go to protect your house from hose leaks, Standard rubber hoses may leak after one or two years, especially the hot water line. These stainless steel hoses have a polymer lining with a tough, corrosion-resistant, braided, stainless steel sheath. The threaded connectors are also heavy duty and corrosion-resistant. These hoses should last for the life of our washer. They cost a bit more than the standard rubber hoses, but compared to the damage a leaky hose can cause, they are well worth the higher price.
What's great about it: Prevents hose leaks
What's not so great: More costly than rubber hoses
I would recommend this to a friend!
