Bought this for my wife who has been using her old stove for 32 years. So needless to say she was very happy with this stove. Looks really nice and it fit perfectly in the same spot as the old stove and was able to level it to the counter perfectly. The little insert that goes at rear of stove to close the gap next to back splash was just perfect fit also. Couldn't be more happy with it so far. Will update more once we have had it longer but so far works great. I recommend opening windows when burning off new smell. We did a clean cycle which took couple hours and it smelled the entire time.

small change would make it 5-star

We bought this to replace 20yr old smooth top. We like the option of convection oven and the 3 racks. The smooth top on this one is a very clean design. The 2 small elements that can be used together work great for the pancake griddle. The warming element comes in handy when making a big family dinner and not everything is ready at the same time; so you can keep something from cooling down. The most used element is the 3-in-1 element that has the large, medium, and small all integrated together.
The one thing we would change would be the knobs. We bought this model because it is like our old one which had the knobs in front where you don't have to reach over hot water or grease to turn the knobs. What we dislike about these knobs is that they stick up above the levels of the glass surface; and we have occasionally hit the knob when pulling a pan off the stove. A knob without the tall center section would be an easy fix or a more flush knob design would make it 5-star.

Less of a stove than the GE model it replaced

We had to replace our GE stove purchased in 2008 because the convection component no longer functioned and the oven temperature would not reach the desired temp. The old stove provided for convection cooking with one or with multiple racks, and had a glass over the oven controls. This one has a plastic film over the oven controls, and allows convection cooking with multiple racks only. The display uses smaller digits than the previous one, too, and there isn't any probe! Oh joy!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
