Fan runs constantly

On the positive side, I love the convection baking because cookies come out perfectly. The cooling fan after baking is okay. Now the negative. When I bake breads and cake in the bake mode, the fan runs constantly as in convection mode. My breads will be very well done on the outside but not always baked through. Cakes will be the golden color but dried out, not moist like when baked in my old oven. The constant fan is working like the convection mode. I have not been happy with this. Also, the burners are not graduated heat. The elements under the ceramic top come on fully then shut down, on and shut down. It just comes on more on high and less on low. Why isn't it regulated from low to high with less to more heat. I am constantly burning food. When it's almost cooked the element turns bright red and is too hot. I absolutely hate the way the burners work. Does GE have another range that works like the old elements did from low heat to high heat??? Can these things be corrected or do I have to buy another range?

Not too good

The stove is not yet 3 years old and already one of the burners is not functioning. Also the oven heat is often uneven which makes for difficulty in baking.

Excellent oven & range

I love the ceramic cook top. This is my first convection oven and I love it, too. I wish that the oven were deeper--some of my cookware must be turned sideways in order to fit on the shelf with the door closed. My previous GE oven allowed everything to fit in front to back.

Slide in stove
on July 23, 2014

I needed a slide in stove and liked the looks of this one. But.... It takes a long tme to heat up the burners and really long for the oven to heat up. I don't know if the stove isn't working right or if it is the fact I have never used a flat surface stove. The tmer is worthless since you can only hear it if you are right at the stove.

Great Range!

After extensive research on ranges for the past several months, I purchased this range. We are in a kitchen remodel and my last range was still going strong after 26 years! I wanted another range just like that! It was hard to find a white range. This range is white - (easier to clean and no fingerprints to worry about) the controls were on the front and are minimally computerized (easy to use and more reliable than all computerized), the left burners can be bridged and the glass top is not solid black (any scratches will be less noticeable). So far it cooks great. I couldn't believe how the biscuits came out of the oven the first time I used it. All perfectly, uniformly cooked - even better than my last range. And that was without the convection! I've used the convection once so far to roast vegetables and they came out great as well. I've ordered a new set of stainless steel cookware and look forward to cooking!

Remodeled my kitchen and wanted a slide in range.

I bought this unit online after reviewing many slide in models and finding this to be the very best for the price. I replaced an older GE standup glass top, which I was not real happy with. I have used it a lot, particularly the top burners. The three burner unit is awesome. We have used it in all three modes. The glass top cleans up easily. The only thing I have found that was not excellent was the finish of the utility drawer. The drawer face is stamped out of sheet metal and the matching seams have small gaps.

Looks good features ok

We selected this range as ungrade in new home to builder's base options. Had a similar GE profile glass top range vintage 1994 in previous home. This 2015 model has more features but is not same high quality as the 1994 version. Pros: appearance, cooktop burner options, convection oven. Cons: range top burner control not as fine as older model. Oven seems to take long time to preheat, and temperature control seems not as fine as older model. Bread does not cook as evenly as previous model. Oven cooling fan runs and runs after baking. It appears that GE Profile line is not the top quality that it was 20 years ago, which is disappointing. This is a good range, but we expected better from the GE Profile name.

I got this oven a few months ago and I DO NOT LIKE it at all. It is very cheaply made. The stove top cooks to hot and the oven is off by about 25 degrees
