Good stove, bad smooth top. Scratches too easily and hard to remove burned on food.

Great oven but the range is TOO hard to keep clean

Bought this range in March and I am in love with the oven. The size and the capabilities are just what I wanted. The stove top and control panel are a nightmare to try to keep clean. I must clean the front of the stove every time I use it and with the electronic controls you turn the thing on and off of many functions each time you try to clean it. I wish I had the top of my 20 year old GE stove back with the oven in this one. The top and front were obviously designed by a man who has never tried to keep a stove nice looking.

Burner has a mind of its own

This stove doesn't let us sear meat or cook at high heat with a wok. It used to be straightforward with our old exposed coil cooktop. Someone else wrote on EPinions having the same problem - the triple burner won't sustain high heat and turns itself on and off just when you are ready to do some serious browning. At the highest heat setting it will only sustain a skillet at half power - on for ten seconds and off for ten seconds. Is there any way to achieve at least five minutes of continuous burner power after the burner gets hot? Is this intentional or a defect that we can have fixed?

There is not bridge element as promised, the 2012 owners manual did not cover all the features, the oven belches puffs of steam periodically after the door is opened.

It's very good both style and function. Marden slice in and good looking for the design. Oven function is awesome for cake and bread. My wife loves this so I'm very happy

I bought this in oct. 2013. It is extremely difficult to clean, there is a terrible rattle whenever the stove is turned off, if you push up on the broiler element it stops, have tried to tighten but did not help.
