Hard to control

It is so hard to control the temperature of the eyes. I have burned some dishes. The oven is better.

Best Stove Ever

I am short with short arms which makes it difficult to use a standard stove. When I found this one with the knobs up front, I was delighed and still am after using it.

Not what I expected

Like the reliability of GE. Liked the look of the range. Like the warming burner. First time with stainless steel and really don't see the appeal. I'm constantly wiping down smears and spots. Cook top is very difficult to keep clean - even with the recommended products. The fan that runs after using the oven runs forever and is very annoying.

The problematical part is the stovetop. The surface can easily stain permanently, even after following all the recommended directions and cautions. The bigger issues however is with the burners. There are five. The middle rear warmer burner will be rarely if ever used. This takes up valuable space that could have been used to make it easier to cook with four pans. Recommend to eliminate the fifth burner and stay with the traditional four burners.

Bought this range to replace a 24 year old GE profile range which was similar, but with slightly fewer features. Range does its job. Haven't used all the features yet. After several months here's what I don't like . . . the large burner is in the front in order to accommodate the small warming burner in the rear center. At least for us, we prefer the large burners in the rear. The oven opens somewhat lower than with our last and this makes the blast of hot air coming out into one's face that much worse than before. The stainless steel lower draw is thinner and cheaper in quality than previously. Not sure there is anything better given the price. Otherwise like its appearance. My wife tends to dislike it more than myself, but she uses it more. I guess if it lasts another 20 years I won't have any complaints.
