Beautiful addition to the Slate line

This model was not available when I initially upgraded my appliances to the beautiful Slate finish, so glad it is finally here! It fits wonderfully thanks to the attachment provided and operates like a dream. Can't believe this wasn't brought out before the free standing range as it elevated the line significantly.

I just purchased this slide in range after researching many options for several months. This slide in range fit perfectly to replace a free standing smooth top range that was 13 years old. I wanted a storage drawer in the bottom so the oven size isn't enormous but plenty large enough to suit my family size. I've already roasted vegetables in it using the convection feature and it was super easy to use and did a great job browning the vegetables on all sides instead of just the top, which meant I didn't have to stir it as much as usual. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I think the front panel should be in stainless steel not gray plastic. It cheapens the look of the range and when you're paying more for a high end slide in range they could have put more stainless steel on the front along with the metal knobs which are a nice touch. The oven door is nice and heavy and you get 3 racks which isn't the norm anymore. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the convection fan was since many of the higher end appliances had complaints about this, it worried me that GE would have the same problem, but it's not an issue. I can't believe what a difference it makes having a slide in instead of a free standing range. My kitchen looks larger and more spacious and you can actually see the beautiful travertine and mosaic backsplash that was hidden before.

We bought this for our beach house that we recently moved into. LOVE LOVE this range. Convection oven (which I am used to using) cooks so evenly. Smooth surface is really easy to keep clean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
