I've come to depend on Hoover products over the years. Had a hoover steam vac for years. Got more than my money's worth from it. The poor thing finally died. Tried a different brand...could not have been more disappointed. Went right back to Hoover because I know I can trust it to do what it says it will do and will have a long lifespan.

Great on carpet

I purchased to use on stairs, furniture and carpet. I was very pleased with the use on the carpet. In my attempts on furniture and stairs, there was very little dirty water in the collection chamber and both took quite a while to dry. Also - the spray on the attachment sprays wider than the area to be cleaned so beware of overspray. I absolutely love the main unit and am still pleased that I purchased this. The furniture and stairs do look clean am just concerned that the dirt dropped below the surface. Also - the hose does not stay on the unit very well. I just store mine separately which makes the cleaner quick and easy to move and operate.

What's great about it: Carpets dry quickly due to great suction and heated air.

What's not so great: hand held attachments don't extract much water

I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this because our old Hoover was dying. I like the fact that the newer model is lighter, but with that I don't think it's as well made as the older ones. I wish they would find a better place for the power cord though.

Beast of a Cleaner

This is a beast of a carpet cleaner. Cleans great and is easy to use. I would give this a 4.5 if I could though only due to the hose connection. I have owned one previous carpet cleaner where connecting the hand tool hose was simple and quick. This connection is not too bad but not as easy as my last carpet cleaner. Other then that, I love this thing and do not regret the purchase.

Worth The Money

The machine really does a great job. I ignored my carpets for far too many years and this thing really sucked up a ton of dirt. We have hardwood floors through the living areas of our home and there is carpet only in the bedrooms. I didn't think that they were really that dirty. Boy was I wrong!! I was amazed at the amount of dirt that was in my carpets. The five brush system really seems to do the trick. I would recommend this to anyone. For the money, you really can't go wrong. The only drawback is the size of the tanks. I don't see how they could change this so it's just something you have to live with.

What's great about it: Powerful Machine

What's not so great: Small Tanks

Broke Pretty Quickly

After reading all those wonderful reviews on this product I couldn't wait to get out to Best Buy and purchase it. I put the whole thing together without any trouble and was getting ready to use it. I took hold of the bottom plastic tub and snapped it off, then went to snap it back on and one of the plastic tabs completely broke off! Now, I'm not a strong lady, I'm not a large person either, I just can't believe it broke that easily.

Unfortunately I'm taking it back tomorrow and I won't be purchasing another one because I am worried about what else will break. I've used my friends Bissel ProHeat one, which Best Buy also sells so I think I'll buy one of those.

What's great about it: The price

What's not so great: Parts break EASY

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
