Previously owned a Bissel Quicksteamer, sold that and begged my husband to buy me this cleaner!! I wanted one with attachments to clean the carpet in the van. Overall I think that this a good cleaner. I don't think that the "Heated" feature works well, exspecially when using the hose. I put in 1/2 boling water and 1/2 Hot water and when I went to use the hose it was very cool. It didn't get every spot out, but everytime I emptied the dirty water, it was very dirty!! So it must have been doing it's job. Drying time is very fast and it is so easy to clean the dirty container! Much easier than the Bissell:)
So Far I have cleaned the Living Room, kids room and Basement in 2 days. I still have my room and the van, but glad I waited becuase My daughter just spilled a full cup of orange pop last night in the van! So, that will be the test, to see how well it cleans orange pop out of light gray carpet, lol!

What's great about it: Easy to Use, Great Suction

Great Product

It's a great steam cleaner. Just finished using it and it got out dirt I didn't even know existed! It was gross (but good) and I had no problems. Instructions were easy to follow and the carpets didn't need any time to dry as I wet over it a couple of times with the machine, which practically got all the water out anyway so we were back on the carpets within ten minutes.
Tip:
Ensure that you do vacuum carpets PROPERLY before using this machine or cleaning the machine after use may be tasking. Enjoy....believe me, you will. No complaints.

What's great about it: Everything

What's not so great: Nothing really.

Absolutely the best thing besides sliced bread.
Easy to use, gets the carpet clean the 1st time, even heavy traffic areas.

Awesome Carpet Cleaner!

After using these reviews for my decision on a carpet cleaner (Mainly which one --I was stuck btw a Bissel 9500 or this Hoover)-I felt it only right to write one on my experience...
I ended up with this Hoover because of the reviews and the price. I didn't think it was worth another $100+ for "heated water". I used my hottest tap water and it worked great!!
This is an awesome cleaner! It picked up dirt I didn't think was there and it did a better job for me than Stanley Steamer or the Rug Doctor ever did. The water/solution that went on the carpets was pretty much all extracted out. Carpets were a little damp after but dryed fast and dryed beautifully clean and bright.
The only con I can think of is that the tanks maybe could have been a little bigger to hold more water but then if they were bigger they would be heavier and it might be more difficult for people to lift.....

What's great about it: Easy to use and really cleans!

New and improved

I recently purchased this Hoover steam cleaner and love it. I had an older model for years and this newer version is great! Easy to use, and lightweight. It has easier to do stairs due to long attachment cord. The suction is just as strong for the attachment as it is for the steam cleaner itself. I don't have to have my sons carry the steam cleaner up and down the steps for me. I love it.

What's great about it: Great suction power, easy to operate, light weight

What's not so great: none

I just purchase this hoover after reading the reviews and I was not disappointed. Its a great machine, it left my carpet beautifully clean and dried in no time. Better than rug docter.

Great Value

I bought this Steam Vac online and picked up at the store to save 10% since store did not have it onsale. With a 22 months old running around the house, I really needed a good steam vacuum cleaner. This was exactly what I needed. I took care of most of stains and dirts that I needed to get rid of. It also dried fairly quick, so I did not even have to leave the house. Great product for the money.

What's great about it: Price for the features and performance

What's not so great: Hand tools are too small

I would recommend this to a friend!
