Meets our needs

We needed a basic wine chiller, without "bells and whistles" that mostly serve to impress others. This unit exactly fills that set of requirements, and so we're satisfied with it. There are a few issues; the manual light switch is a nuisance, but we'll get used to it, and the adjustment of the door was off as received. I was able to correct it, but I expected better. The size of the shelf for 750 ml bottles is a bit tight, in my opinion, but adequate. Stand-up space for a couple of 1.5 L bottles is a good feature. If you want to go basic, this fits the bill.

Not great, but just OK

I purchased this unit hoping to get a smaller version of the GE Profile Series Wine Center, model PCR06WATSS, which is great and that I have two of already. Unfortunately, it's not near the quality of the other units at all. However, it does need to be noted that this unit is typically half the price of the GE Profile unit, just for the record.
While this unit can accept some of the oversized bottles that the Profile unit cannot, the internal shelving system is mediocre, at best. You really can 't get near the number of bottles in this thing that they advertise. The biggest negative issues with this unit is the fact that it's fairly noisy and that it runs hot, from time to time.
The bottom line is that it's just not built to the same level of quality as the Profile units, but I think it also reflects poorly on GE wine cooler products. If they could execute a unit like this in a better way, I think they would sell tons of them.

I read the reviews before I purchased this item. Some of the reviews commented about the noise it made. We have found just the opposite. Very quiet. Works well. Fits variety of sizes of wine bottles too.

It was the closest replacement for the ge profile wine refrigerator which I loved. Too loud. Too cold. Not as functional as the other. Definitely not better in any way. Very disappointed!
