Good crutch when Samsung audio power amp dies

Despite what the box says, and what the salesman told me, this system does not have any wireless speakers. All speakers are wired, but the amplifier for two of the speakers is wireless connection from the Blueray unit.
In my case with an older Samsung big screen TV, the easiest hookup was via HDMI from the cable box into the Blueray unit with HDMI cable from Blueray into the TV with an electro optical cable from the TV back in to the Blueray. This is not shown on the instruction's connection graphics, but it is described.
The unit works well and can be heard over a house full of kids on sugar. The picture from the Blueray disks was very good with no skips or need to fuss once the system parameters are set up in the beginning. The menus for setup are fairly intuitive once you commit the icons to memory.

Good Sound Quality, but I've had issues with switching from TV to Movie or vice versa.... My solution is to unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it back in... That seems to work, but I'm 100% sure a consumer should not have to do that...

Great blueray player with extra features. Some of the smart products do not work here in Germany where I am stationed but it is expectable. Love the Bluetooth connect function.

It was very easy to connect. Great deal for the money. The only issue that didn't make it a 10 -10 was the reaction time, first when you turn it on and then when you switch inputs. We use all of them up to and including the USB, Blueray, cable, internet and Gaming.

Not bad for the price

It sounds good and has many features but I don't like the design of the DVD player itself. It's somewhat difficult to put in or take out the disc. The system is VERY slow to start up! It takes up to a minute for the sound to come on after the tv it's turned on. Not ever experienced this before.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Erik7706, thank you for letting us know your concerns. To activate the quick start mode, please follow these steps: Press the HOME button, Go into Setup, then go to system settings and make sure to select quick start mode to ON. It shortens the start-up time from standby mode. You can operate the system quickly after turning on.

Very nice system

We have been enjoying this system since August 2014. The smaller speakers fit nicely into the entertainment center yet produce a very good quality sound. It is a nice match with the flat screen TV. We are still learning how to use all the features. Sometimes the menus are a little confusing; there are many options and capabilities. There are quite a few Internet selections but most don't seem to have much desirable content. The preset audio mixes are adequate although the Concert Hall has too much echo for our taste and the Football mode doesn't impress. It would be nice if you could change the channels on the Sony TV with the Sony sound system remote. We have had some difficulty with the bluetooth feature. Maybe we are not using it correctly? Overall, this system adds a lot to the entertainment experience and we are quite happy with it.

Crashes frequently

The Java-based-not-Android OS hangs from time to time and requires you to pull the plug. It feels sluggish and underpowered. Great sound though.
