Great Printer

Installed into mixed wireless network with both Windows XP and Windows 7 perfectly. No install CD, no problems! Print quality is excellent and it is quiet compared to the laser printer it replaced. If you want a laser printer that is simple to install into a wireless network, good quality print and a great price this is it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Documentation is awful
on January 21, 2012

I finally got the thing hooked up and working but it wasn't easy. The set up documentation was terrible. I have set up other of HP and Canon printers on my Wi-Fi network with no trouble. This printer was a different story. It took several tries to get the printer working on my network and the documentation that came with the printer was no help.HP you blew it with this printer.

Great Printer for the Price point
on January 27, 2012

I needed a good resolution B/W only laser printer and this one fills the bill. Setup on multiple computers on my home network was effortless with each computer using a wireless connection. Not having to pay for features I won't be using (scanner, copier, fax....) was what attracted me to this printer in the first place. This is one of those few times when a product really hit the "sweet spot".
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have 3 of these printers now and each one was easy to set up, reliable and fast. The toner carts are expensive but seem to last a long time. Much better than ink jet in speed and costs. It doesn't work directly with Touchpad but with ePrint I am able to print from anywhere, anything so that is a solution I can live with.

HP Laserjet P1102w

Wireless connected the office PC no problem Big problem with the laptop. Been on the phone with the HP technician for nearly 2 hours trying to figure out why when everything's restarted the wireless connection fails. That poor fellow will be researching our problem and calling back tomorrow to try again. Says it might have something to do with our firewall. (???)
This was/is never a problem with our Epson multi-purpose unit.
So, when it works, it works beautifully. But now we're completely inoperable.
What's up with that?!?

I give it 5 stars on faith, but it seems a bit silly for you ask for a review within a few days of my receiving the product. To ask after six months would make more sense. As it stands, I have just gotten it out of the box, unwrapped, and hooked up at the office. That took a while. It printed the test page beautifully, but refused to print anything from my files. I had to leave the office for an appointment, and I have not had time to go back and fiddle with it to see if I can make it work. Three days from now I might have a different review.
