The only way to set up an in-home office

A wireless printer for the economical price is my best purchase this year. Fast black ink only printer is very practical for my in-home office.

Unless you are a complete geek the instructions that accompany this product are very incomplete. Even the CD version is lacking. Still trying to figure out how to get the wireless function working.

Pre-puchase questions to HP were never answered. Printer will not establish a
Wireless connection to an IMac running on Lion OS.
With the USB connection it is a good printer for one page prints. The dual side print feature is not reliable for multiple pages.

HP printers don't quit

My HP 1160 laserjet worked flawlessly for seven or eight years with never a problem or worry. When the feed train finally wore out, I gave it a decent burial and went with the 1120w. It weighs a lot less but is so far working just as hard. And with wireless connection as a bonus.

Great professional b&w printer

This is a fine professional black and white laserjet printer. It is compact, works flawlessly, has a long lasting print cartridge, and does not miss a beat. It's fast and reliable. I bought one for my home office since the one at work is so reliable.

Exceptional printer

I purchased this printer to give handouts to at a trade show and it exceeded my expectations. Out of the box it was very easy to use; it took just over 5 minutes to load the printer onto two laptops. Having the wireless option was great for this kind of useage. The pages printed out so quickly and the quality was great. Also, the size of the unit was great as I had little space to play with. It's smaller than my current desk top printer HP K550; comparably i'd say it's a little smaller that a dorm room microwave. The only problem I ran into was that the printer would shut off if idle for too long, but after checking the settings found that this is an energy efficiency option. So, I adjusted the settings to have it shut off after an hour and things went ever so smoothly. If you're looking for a low cost, high quality, high efficency, black and white printer, stop wasting your time, just buy this one.

LOVE IT

This replaced an old work horse HP 1100 that we've had for more than 10 years. The speed on this printer is great. I hope it lasts as long. A good soluntion at a reasonable price.
