not the best cleaning dishwasher

Bought a year ago to replace a cheaper noisier model another brand. It will not clean dishes even when stacking 2 rungs apart. Silverware is always dirty unless you wash them first, why wash them if you have a dishwasher. My older model I never had to pre wash. Prevalent odor all the time when you open the door and emits hot air at the same time even though it is on air dry. I am currently looking to replace it due to its poor performance. Oh yes it is quiet.

Dishwasher

The first couple of months we had this dishwasher it was great, however, things have gone downhill from there. I rinse all my dishes well prior to putting them in the dishwasher, but the dishwasher is just not cleaning like you would expect. When I unload dishes, I have to check everything I remove to see that it is clean. Many times I have have to either hand wash dishes or rerun the dishwasher because it is not getting dishes clean. It does seem to do better on the longest, hottest setting. After running the dishwasher there is a lot of moisture built up inside around the top half of the door. Also there is always an odor inside. I would not recommend this dishwasher to anyone. Lot of money lost on this purchase.

Door stopper broke after 6 months

Repair guy told us it was incorrectly assembled from the factory and that the springs were much too tight which made a bracket break off. other than that it seems to be working.

Not so great

While it is true that this dishwasher is very quiet, it does not clean dishes, glasses and utensils well. I have to pre rinse and if the utensils are not carefully placed in the divided holder, I find they are not clean. The racks on the bottom do not fit bowls well and if one bowl is even slightly touching another, they are not clean. I always find some glasses on the top shelf that have to be washed over. I have paid more for this dishwasher than any of my previous dishwashers and it performs well below any of my previous washers.

Style over quality

Purchased this dishwasher about 3 years ago. The installer couldn't figure out how to install - not Electrolux's fault. He epoxied it to the underside of the countertop. Didn't realize that it wasn't installed reliably until the steam that comes out of the top of the dishwasher eroded the epoxy and then I just had a dishwasher sitting in its place. Pulling out the drawers with dishes tipped it forward.
Don't know if it was because of the faulty installation, but within a few months, the seals around the door started falling off. I called Electrolux and had replacements sent. A repair person replaced them and made another stab at installing, but again, just epoxied it to the counter.
Three years later, the seals have fallen off again and the dishwasher tilts forward when I pull out the bottom drawer with dishes.
The dishwasher cavity is smaller than that of the dishwasher it replaced. That didn't bother me when I bought it because it looked so good and matched my other Electrolux appliances.
What does bother me is that it doesn't really clean anything on the top shelf. I cannot get bowls clean without laying them flat on the bottom shelf. This takes up a ton of room. About half the time, a couple of plates will come out with dried on food. Because of this, I have to wash the dishes - not just rinse - before putting them into the dishwasher.
The dishwasher cannot dry plastic at all.
The dishwasher was almost silent when it was first installed, but has gotten progressively louder.

Overpriced and underperforms

I had high hopes for this dishwasher. It is sure quiet; can't discount that advertised feature. It stops there, though. I never overload the dishwasher, rinse off all the dishes before loading and use a quality detergent. The load is washed each night. Often, dishes come out dirtier than they went in. Always, glasses have crud dried onto the inside, especially at the bottom. I had to purchase new dishes because the dishes are packed so close together in the trays; thought the thick dishes were the reason they weren't being cleaned well. So those skinny Corelle dishes come out dirty, too, which means it's not the dishes but the dishwasher. I paid a lot of money for this unit, and I'm so very disappointed!

Terrible Dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher the first time in 08 with a 5 yr. extended warranty- Thank goodness for the warranty! Within the first year I had it repaired 3 times. They replaced it for free. The second one I had from 09-11 and had it repaired twice and on Dec. 6th was the 2nd repair on the second dishwasher of this model, then a week later it was broke AGAIN. Needless to say the integrity of the store I purchased is wonderful and they allowed us to replace it with a different brand. I am VERY disappointed with electrolux! I spent alot of money on the dishwasher and had replaced a much cheaper one that worked but was noisy with this and I would have been much better to stay with the one that was here. I will say this dishwasher is VERY quiet but I have definitely had less expensive dishwashers get my dishes cleaner.

LOVE IT HATE IT

LOVE THE FEATURES AND THE QUIETNESS, HATE THE FACT THAT IT HAD CORROSION ON THE TURBICITY SENSOR AFTER 16 MONTHS, WHICH HAS PROVEN IMPOSSIBLE TO REPAIR. WE DON'T HAVE GOOD SOURCES FOR REPAIRS IN OUR AREA, SO I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR MYSELF. THE CORROSION HAS PROVEN TO BE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET RID OF. WOULD I BUY AGAIN, NO, TOO EXPENSIVE, NEED A UNIT THAT IS EASIER TO REPAIR.
