SMELLS

I am not one to write a negative review but feel that it needs to be put out there. I purchased this machine thinking we were paying more for a good appliance. YES...it does clean the dishes very well. It does take a long time but that doesn't bother me.
YES...it is super quiet. I love this feature. I also like that it has many features for cleaning. HOWEVER, if you do not run it every day, which most people don't, the stainless steel seems to keep the smell of the dirty dishes inside it. When I open it between cycles it seems like rotten milk. I clean the dishwasher out after each use and rinse throughly even though I don't have to per the manual. This isn't the first time I have heard of this either. So it is a great appliance but the smell really is awful and it I could, we would take it back.

Quiet as can be

This is by far the quietest dishwasher that I have ever owned. I didn't realize how spoiled I have become with the quiet until I heard my old dishwasher at my neighbor's house. The only noise you can hear - is when it drains into my garbage disposal. When I got a new garbage disposal drain cover - it is even more quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

quiet and clean

Perfect, good looking appliance for my kitchen. So quiet my kids have opened the door while its running from the lack of noise. I never have to rerun any of the dishes, or pots that I load, even heavily soiled items come out clean on a normal cycle. Wish all of my appliances worked so well. thank you!

Good product but not exceptional

The fit & form of the product is very nice. Also, it is very quiet. Ironically this creates a bit of a problem as there is no outward indicator that it is busy or finished so it gets opened frequently when working. This is not a big issue but disconcerting. I understand that ensuing models have such an indicator. Quite actually, I thought our model had this but alas--not. At the end of the day a dishwashers job is to clean dishes and while this model does a reasonable job it is not exceptional and we do suspect that many cheaper models may do as well on this measure. I cannot say I am disappointed with it but not really impressed either. It has a very well designed racking setup. In short we feel that performance could be a better and wish it had the noted in-process external indicator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Quiet, Washes Poorly

This is a very quiet dishwasher however it is very poor at washing dishes. Also rather hard to get odd size items and such as pie pans cookie sheets and bowls. Had to change over from using powdered soaps to liquid soaps. Most of the time powdered soaps would not dissolve from the soap dispenser, this is sometimes even a problem with liquid soaps as wells. Dishes must be pre-cleaned before loading them in dishwasher. I believe the overall problem is probably low water pressure from the water pump in the dishwasher. I believe it is designed this way on purpose so to make it a very quiet machine while it is running. As far as it being a quiet machine it is very quiet, you have to be standing next to it to hear it run. All in all I would rather it be a little bit noisier and capable of washing my dishes more thoroughly. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate it a number 4.

So Quiet you don't know it's on

I love this dishwasher. I usually pre rinse food off, but don't always so I was impressed that when I didn't remember that it wasn't necessary.
This is the quietest dishwasher. I have to check to see if it came on. I can barely hear the water come in.
This model has so many bells and whistles I haven't even tried, but I love how clean it gets the dishes and pans even on normal cycle. I love being able to fold down the dividers to make room for larger items. I drink wine everyday and don't have to do them separately now. I just add them to the top and fold down the stemware holder. I usually put my large chef knives on top so protect the knife. I have even been able to put my heavier plastic bowls up against one of the edges of the bottom rack without any problems. (I'm not reccomending this- just commenting).
I do wish it had a dish warmer or extra dry cycle, because most of my plastic items in the top do not dry completely .I also cook a lot for for (12-20) at least once a month and I would love to be able to prewarm the plates. I understand the drying problem is common for the models that don't have the exposed heating element.( mine doesn't). this includes all brands per my retail store salesperson.

Disappointing Dishwasher!

Purchase this dishwasher brand because I was so pleased with the performance of our Electrolux Washer and Dryer. Unfortunately the dishwasher has been a big dissapointment! Upper was arm, repeatedly gets stuck in a single position, leaving glassware dirty. At time, I have to stop the machine during a cycle and manually mover the spinner arm. Multiple runs are required for proper cleaning. Currently we are waiting on replacement parts that have been on back order for weeks! Plates must be rinsed and wiped clean of any dried on food, as the machine will not remove them. Would never purchase another Electrolux Dishwasher Again! I would NOT reccomend this product!
