DOES NOT FIT CERTAIN MODELS

They redesigned this filter for some reason to look exactly like a version they used to make. If you are looking for 5231JA2006F or 5231JA2006B - THIS IS NOT IT. This will not fit your fridge. Unbelievable LG did this. I will never buy an LG product again. They discontinue parts way too fast.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cartridge replacements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter, like most other parts of this refrigerator, was the most user-friendly replacement filter I have ever used. simple twist in/twist out. That was it.
I also had a problem with the flow of the water dispenser in the fridge door. One quick replacement in the back and the water was profuse again. Outstanding!!
