I think it should be pointed out that the "Digital" is a marketing term. Splitters are passive components, RCA is just emphasizing these are compatible with your digital TV's/ converters. Also, while a splitter can be faulty none will give you a better signal. ALL splitters as a rule will degrade the signal. A faulty splitter will usually produce symptoms of hum bars and/or ghosting. This splitter did produce those problems, however, the effects were VERY mild. And the signal coming into the house is weak to boot. These "Digital" splitters are still above average for their price range and a far cry better than the older and cheaper RCA's we all know and hate. Bottom line: this is a decent mid-range splitter but if you have issues with signal strength be prepared to shell out a bit more.
What's great about it: Build quality
What's not so great: Those with weak signal may have issues

Pro: none, RCA & Bestbuy made money on the overpriced digital splitter.
Con: Does not work, I was getting the same reception quality as my analog splitter. So save your money & just use a regular splitter 5mhz-900mhz (which is the one I have). Those of you reading this saying I should go upgrade; then feel free to buy these upgrade & donate them to me for free so I can see the difference.
Other: I bought this digital splitter since everything was switching to digital & I been seeing some static on my CRT TV on some channels. I changed it out from my analog splitter & there was NO difference, the static was still there. I don’t know if this is because I got a c.rappy cable company or what, well yeah I do have a c.rappy cable company, our cable satellite is half way to the sun from what they told me when we complaint. Massillon, Ohio. Man there is too much monopoly. When it works I’ll let ya know. Setup: live in an Apt, splitter is for 1 bedroom, 2 (1)box each to record different show & watch TV while it is recording to my stand alone DVR all 3 is on a converter box & the 4th splitter will be for my PVR pc that I am building since I am not giving another dime to get the cable company DVR nor Tivo. Hopefully the PVR will get better QAM reception.
