Doesn’t even fit.

I entered the model number of the fridge and LG said it was this one, we ordered a package of this and the appropriate water filter for a 6 month subscription. I’m very irritated that it doesn’t even fit into the fridge’s system because of the ridiculous frame that was added.

Filter doesn’t fit despite apparent compatibility

At what point will support address the repeatedly commented issue that this filter does not fit for the model LRFGC270S. The app brings you directly to this page, the compatibility checker shows this being compatible, but the filter housing in this fridge is DIAGONAL and the rigid plastic case for the filter doesn’t align with it. We made it work by removing the plastic case that the filter came in—if that’s the intended way to do it then update the instructions, but it certainly doesn’t seem “correct.” This is ridiculous. Stop responding with “let’s get you the right filter” or “check your model number” and address the actual fit issue.
