Lint filter catches and rips clothes
on February 11, 2017
Posted by: Atlanta dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer is quick and quiet, but the lint filter design is flawed. It does not sit flush in its housing, and the corner that sticks up catches and rips clothes during the dry cycle. Anything with a pocket or strap can get caught and easily torn. I did not see any reviews of the dryer with this complaint, but if you call LG, they advise you to purchase a new lint filter. The filters are very poorly reviewed and multiple other customers have had the same issue. LG, time for a redesign!

Dryer that actually gets clothes dry!
on March 17, 2015

Bought the washer and dryer together a few months ago. I couldn't be happier with this dryer (and washer)! The dryer gets clothes dry without over-drying and works in a much shorter amount of time. Lots of cycles for whatever type of drying is needed. The steam feature works for most types of clothes. A truly great dryer!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Piece of Junk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One would expect a higher end dryer to dry clothes. Mine keeps sensing that the clothes are dry and shuts off. Try drying towels? I have to keep adding time as the dryer says the towels are dry. I now need to be home to dry clothes as I have to keep adding time to make sure the clothes don't sit in the dyer damp for extended periods.Piece of junk. Wish I purchased another brand

Lint Filter rips clothes
on March 26, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As mentioned by others, the poor design of the lint filter makes the corners stick out and ruin clothes. I have started to put anyting with a string or tank top type straps into dryer bags, but I missed two items today and both had broken straps from being wrapped around and around on the corner of the filter. Only buy this dryer if you want a new wardrobe.

Lint filter malfunction
on November 24, 2019

This dryer has many unnecessary features and one giant problem that LG refuses to address. the lint filters are poorly manufactured and rip up clothing. all the negative comments can be found in the reviews on the lint filters. but it's a basic design flaw of the dryer. The website is poorly organized so trying to find the correct filter to replace it is made more difficult than it should. Don't buy until they fix it.

Dries well but snags clothing
on November 4, 2018

I bought this about a year ago. Overall, I have been satisfied. But oft-discussed design issues with the lint filter - sharp corner at top & a tendency for lint to accumulate below the filter insert, causing it to ride up & make the corners even more exposed -- make it prone to snag clothing, twist the whole load into a giant knot, & damage both the clothing and the filter. I now find myself having to replace the filter and the housing.

Quiet With Lots Of Features

So far this is the quietest dryer we have owned. We have it on the LG pedestals and I assumed that it would vibrate some. However, you can barely hear it run. The steam feature is also nice but it takes a little practice to get it to work just right.
