Control board died after 2 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our dryer. But after 2 years of average use, the control board crapped out. The appliance would dry a load of clothes just fine but after the cycle ended, the tub would keep spinning. The only way to stop it was to unplug it or leave the door open.
Both myself and our repairman looked into the warranty but because it ended after a year, I had to pay for the repairs. I even reached out to LG again after the fact, but they said there's nothing they can do.
So yeah, it's a great dryer but it's not worth an additional $500 above the sticker price. And if LG cared about their customers, they would have made an exception to the warranty or built a product made to last more than 2 years.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, easy to use

Lint Trap tears clothing
on February 20, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My lint-trap screen gets warped every time I run the dryer above a 'low' heat setting causing it to stick out of its slot enough to snag and stretch articles of clothing. I'm not sure why LG would make such a poor choice in materials.
Pros: Style/Design

Lint filter rips clothes
on January 6, 2019

I have owned other brands before and this never happened. Much cheaper dryers from other brands, in my rental units, don't rip the clothes.
We clean the filter screen before every load, as we did with any other dryers. So many shirts, pants are completely ruined.
The original filter plastic parts are so flimsy that they don't fit well even when it came with the dryer. Corners always portude and they tangle the clothes. Over time, grille is broken in other areas too.
This is such a critical part in dryer, not sure why its designed and built so poorly. Lint should not accumulate in the housing so much so that filter doesn't sit properly.
This one part makes the entire dryer unusable.
We are so frustrated that we were thinking about even replacing the dryer and never buy LG dryer again.
Don't recommend it!

Response from lg.comBy CSSocial Media January 9, 2019
That's terrible to know you've had to experience such circumstances regarding your DLGX3571W. I understand your frustration with the dryer ruining your garments and the filter not fitting as it should. I appreciate the feedback to gain insight on this matter. Best dryer ever owned
on June 28, 2015

We bought the washer and liked it so much we went back and ordered the dryer! My last dryer (not LG but high-end) left clothes damp when I used the recommended settings. I have used every setting except for the steam feature and each load has been dried to perfection! I will review again after I use the steam feature, but I have every reason to believe it will be excellent too. This washer and dryer came highly recommended by young people to senior citizens. This is the best dryer I have owned in over 35 years.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Love this dryer

Excellent product. Bought the matching washer too. Of all the features I like the Steam Fresh and Steam Sanitize functions the most. The huge capacity is a real plus.
The door does weep a little bit of the moisture when using the steam functions.

Works great!

The main feature I was looking for in a dryer was something that made my clothes not wet. But my husband found a great deal on this unit with all the bells and whistles. I am finding uses for all the features. I do find that the Normal Dry setting leaves clothes too damp to put in a drawer. But the Very Dry setting gets the job done. Also, if I wash clothes of different weights, i.e. jeans and t-shirts, the heavier items don't dry. The loads dry much faster than my old unit, but the sensors seems to dry to the lightest items in the load. So if you want to mix heavy items with light use the Time Dry instead. I have also dried a few shirts that are supposed to hang dry only. I use the delicate cycle with the Normal Dry setting and they come out slightly damp. This cuts down hang dry time significantly. And the huge capacity is great for washing pillows and comforters (Cal King). Now that it is finally cooler I am looking forward to trying to dry sweaters on the rack.

Perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in August 2016. It is beautiful! Occasionally I have one or two items still needing more time to dry but the sensor doesn't catch it. Still the best and the most attractive I have ever had.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
