Great phone, a little flaky at times.

I really like my Samsung Galaxy III phone but it is a bit flaky at times. I recently used the phone during a trip out of town and it was indispensable in helping me find restaurants and lodging at a moments notice. I also use the phone extensively for work for emails and photos and don't know how I ever got along without it.
Lately though I have been losing icons off the bottom row of my start page. I have lost my messaging icon and my internet icon. I can drag new icons to replace these but if I restart the phone they are gone...sometimes. This is what I mean by being flaky. The first time it did this I lost my phone icon which makes it a bit difficult to call someone quickly! This is how I found out how to drag and drop icons to your home page.
I also had problems with static when playing mp3 audio only. I never had any issues playing other audio and I know the files are good since they play fine on my computer.
Finally I have had extensive issues with Navigation (pre installed on the phone) crashing whenever I try to use it. This is very frustrating. I really want to give it more stars but with the problems I have had, I have to give it three overall.
This is my first smartphone although I've had experience with the operating system it runs on before. Therefore, I find it easy to navigate around while I use my phone. It's a great smartphone to use so I'll be sticking with it until it's nonoperational. I very much like the colors. This is also a good upgrade from my old qwerty texting phone as it keeps me more organized with the available apps. Like most other smartphones out there, the only con is the deteriorating battery life. I've had it for a little over 2 months now and I find that I need to charge the battery twice a day. Overall, I'm loving the smartphone.
S-Voice, Kies Air,S-Suggest, and all other inbuilt features have made my life so easier. Features like motion or voice recognition, NFC and S Beam are amazing.A Must buy device.
Upgraded from Galaxy II. Much better screen but some of the buttons are too easily engaged with doing other activities on the device.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: screen easily broken

As I continually learn new functions of my GSIII, I have a blast finding new things to do. I've gotten different cases for my different needs and all is well.

I bought a Galaxy S lll after I ruined my iPhone 4. After getting used to the Galaxy compared to the iPhone 4 it was amazing. The applications and widgets are so helpful and the fact that you can customize ever screen to exactly how you want it was a plus. The other little features they have that are optional are wonderful as well! The picture and camera are so much better than my iPhone, especially with the bigger screen!
Pros: Bright display, features, customization

Excellent Phone, as long as you stick with 4.1

I've had my S3 for quite a while now and have been very impressed with it up until installation of version 4.2.1. Jelly Bean comes with a very laggy keyboard and slows overall performance of the phone.
However, when rooted running version 4.2.2, the phone comes alive. Lightening fast, super responsive, and extraordinary battery life.
If recommending to a friend, I would HIGHLY suggest this product and retain its original OS version or a Note 2. The features and user friendliness cannot be beat.
I wasn't sure about the Samsung Galaxy S3, especially with my iPhone 5. I ended up returning for the GS3 and haven't looked back. A seriously awesome Phone.
