This product simply astounds! It does so much you can't help but to enjoy it during idle time. It recognizes main punctuations during dictations. The swipe keyboard is intuitive which makes it user friendly, even for those who have big "paws" like mine. (It does have the option for use of the stock android keyboard.) It also has a "voice". Seriously, it does so much that you can't help but toy with it- hence "toy". Though it's an advanced smartphone, its simplicity yields a learning curve that's nowhere near being steep. Frankly, if one is competent with mobile phones, even with non-smartphones, it'll be a moderate transition, if that, in the uses of this device. Samsung even helps the curve with using simple, common jargon for better understanding. There're only two...no, one issue I have: NO PRINTED USER MANUAL. This is not an issue at all, though. You just need access to a computer- which all or most users(current or potential) of smartphones have. Then to it's an effort towards going "GREEN" and more cost effective going paperless. The real issue I have is that it continually scans for WiFi connection(s) ever few seconds- even after establishing and solidifying a strong WiFi connection. However, it's only noticeable while in the WiFi settings. Simply connecting nor while connected renders the background scanning visually noticeable. I only noticed this recently because I needed to enter a password to a secured WiFi network. For the device to pointlessly and constantly scan for unnecessary connections, in the background, uses vital processes and power against extending its uses between charges. Hopefully this'll be addressed during the device's next update. Or maybe it's just the Android "Ice cream" OS. Either way, and none-the-less, this needs to be addressed. Other than that, my introduction into the Galaxy world, via the Galaxy S III, has been more than pleasant, and without any real detrimental complaints. OH!...one more thing: the colors, images, characters(alpha, numeric, and symbols) and videos are crisp and vibrant while being clean and pleasing on the eyes. Viewings are sharp...without being too sharp. And soft without being too soft.
I've had this phone for 1.5 mos and I have enjoyed it. My first Android phone. It is faster than 3G but sometimes slower than I'd like. Screen is very hard for me to see in sunlight. It's mostly washed out. Other than that, seems to be a very good and useful phone
Love the Android Samsung Galaxy S3, but it needs to have more tougher body. I bought the phone in Nov 2012 and started seeing cracks on the phone screen within 3 days of usage.
I just feel that having such flimsy material for phones is a joke and I expect more tougher/durable products from Samsung.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, flimsy body
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall this is a great phone. Pros Call quality is very good. Work quite well with Skype. Jelly Bean update with "Google Now" works quite well. This renders "s-voice" obsolete. Has a removable battery and has a micro-sd card slot. Cons Battery could be longer lasting, but is not bad. I can replace dead batteries on international flights. Have problems with touch screen with wet hands. AT&T has added bloatware that I have no use for and cannot remove (at&t navigator) None of these cons are very serious.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: bloatware
I would recommend this to a friend!

phone is great.works great and has lots on good features.
I finally gave up my blackberry and switched to the galaxy siii .... this phone has so much power and features. The Android Jellybean update took it over the top. Luv the phone!!!
I have owned several phones with several different operating systems and this is by far my favorite. The bump feature is probably my favorite. Many friends and family members are also very happy for this phone.
