Beautiful and Powerful Phone

Beauty and Power meet with the Samsung Galaxy SIII. It has exceeded my expectations in a smart phone. Coming from an iPhone 4 I was blown away by the speed and customization of the phone. And I discover new uses and features all the time.

This phone is great. I only limit my overall rating to a 4 because it is limited by the carrier. I would root, however I am not as experienced with rooting to sabotage this phone yet.
I love the speed, the graphics and performance while playing videos and games. Need 4 Speed: Most Wanted 2 is my current game. The phone is smooth, responds well to every turn and screen press instantly.
The phone is durable, however, through daily battery changes (my SGSIII is rarely on the charger) the battery cover has a small crack at one of the stress point. But I love being able to change the battery instead of being tied to a charger every four hours or so. The battery life is tremendous. I can surf, text, talk and play for anywhere between 8 hours to 12 hours on a charged battery.
I've only had the phone crash a few times, due to my incessant and impatient touches.
As I said, this phone is only limited by the carriers. I can only imagine what it would be like without those limitations. I can't wait for the 4.1 or 4.2 update to the operating system.

Cons: carrier limitation

Overall this is a very good phone. The big screen makes it easy to browse the web, and it is very light so that you can put it in a case without making it too heavy.
Two things that I think this phone could do better:
1) The wifi receiver is pretty weak. This phone gets an extremely weak wifi signal in my room, where my laptop is getting full bars. (Other phones also get close to full bars in my room.)
2) Sometimes background processes drain battery extremely fast (don't know which one). I have had this phone go from fully charged to 20% in 8 hours on standby. After I restarted the phone, it lasted just as long with the remaining 20%.

Better than any Iphone

I have had every Iphone since they came out, I thought I would never like any other brand until we bought a galaxy s3 for my wife, I was jealous about how much better the screen was and I loved playing with her phone. I was hooked and went and got one for me and I couldn't be happier.
