Okay case, but overpriced.

This case looks very nice, before the edges of the canvas material fray. I need to cut the frayed edges off regularly. I wasn't looking for a case that I needed to maintain. The canvas is easy to grip, making the big tablet feel less awkward to carry around. The main reason I bought this case was because of the mounting system that was built into the tablet itself, so I didn't have to get bothered by the corners holding a 3rd party case. The magnet placement is pretty terrible. The only strong place to set the angle is really low or quite high. Anywhere in-between and it will not stand very strong to a light touch. There isn't really any protection to the tablet on the top or bottom, I've gotten a few scrapes already. The case also doesn't close as intended, in my... case... I have to put the flap underneath, letting dust settle on the screen.
Pros: Lightweight, consolidated mounting method, easy to grip
Cons: Did not meet expectations, seems to not be finished
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have owned this cover for my Tab A 9.7". Firstly, the fit is absolutely perfect. I love that the tablet sleeps and wakes up with the opening and closing of the cover. I imagined that it would last a very, very long time since I am very careful with my electronics and I perceived it to be an incredibly well made cover. It was pricey but initially, I was totally glad that I purchased it. Downsides: one of my disappointments is that there is no way for me to prop it up vertically with the cover. It is only functional in a horizontal position (found this out when playing a game, albeit one of my favorites, and I can only view it vertically. I learned to deal with that but then, my biggest and most annoying issue has been that one of the two screws that secures the tablet in place has repeatedly become dislodged. I have been able to put in back on but just recently, I am unable to screw it back on so my tablet is just attached to the cover by the bottom screw. Extremely annoying because now the tablet just "dances" around loosely. Had it not been for these 2 issues, I would say that this is an amazing product. I love Samsung and have been a fan of their products forever but am really disappointed that I have to now purchase another case. At the price I paid, I expected more. Still love you Samsung!
