Awesome!

I figured after owning these speakers for over fives years it was time to write a review. I live just outside Chicago where we get really cold winters. These speakers have not shown any signs of cold or heat damage. And yes they have been outdoors since I bought them. And their sound is truly unbelievable. I have then hooked up to my 21 year old Yamaha receiver. Friends that come over cannot believe the deep bass sounds coming from these speakers. They always ask if I have a sub woofer hooked up. I cannot be any happier with the build and sound quality. I would highly recommend to anyone to purchase.

Amazing - Best Outdoor Speakers

I have had these speakers for 8 years - go no further to research which outdoor speakers to buy. These are clear at ANY volume. Winter, summer, they are built to last.

Best outdoor speakers!

I've had Bose outdoor speakers for at least a dozen years. I've had other brands of speakers outdoors since 1982 and the others lasted no more than 5 years. These speakers have been outdoors since the day I got them and are well worth the money! I live in Northwest Ohio near Lake Erie so these speakers have been through all types of weather extremes. The speakers still sound decent but after 12-15 years it's time to upgrade to some new Bose outdoor speakers, so it's time for me to order some new Free Space 51's. Best outdoor speakers ever!

Amazing sound and durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a pair 10 years ago and just added a second set. The original pair sound just as good as the new ones 10 years later. They hold up to heat and the cold!

Great Speakers, hold up well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had these speakers at the corners of our spa for over 13 years. They sound great. I haven’t noticed any degradation in sound. I have and old pioneer receiver feeding them. So nice to listen to great sounds at the Spa, while Pandora streams. A great investment!

These speakers are the best , had my for 11 years now , but this winter put one of them to rest . I'll be out to replace the both real soon. They own me nothing . Sound means a lot to me and Bose speakers do the job, thank you Bose. Paul F.

The Best of Bose

I own two pairs of the Bose Free Space 51 which were submerged under water for 5 days during Hurricane Harvey. As the water had receded I allowed the hot Brazoria, Texas sun to do its job by drying them out. Afterwards, I reconnected my speakers to my stereo system and all four speakers sounds as they were originally designed to perform.

Exactly what I expected

I have a a fairly large outdoor area, and I instead a pair of these along with two pair of Bose 251's, and my jubilation can't be contained. These speakers sound great as they cover such a broad area and the sound reflects off the ground and makes you feel surrounded by the sound instead of it being directed at you. I will add a second pair to complete my all ready amazing out door space as if you are trying to provide sound to two patios, a pool, a pergola, and fire pit space you need the quality and power of Bose to do so.
