Good Hardware phone

What I Like About the Phone:
1) It's fast, which is really the most important thing to me.
2) Screen is HUGE and stunning 4.8 Inch.
3) Phone is very thin, really can't believe how thick my old phone was, its amazing the difference.
4) Camera is fast (ZERO shutter lag), opens instantly, and takes super HD pictures. Front and back cameras.
5) The connector is the same as old phone, so my old charger and car charger work.
6) Im not using an SD card but just the internal memory. I have the 16 GB version, there is an SD slot if you want one.
7) I was able to put my sound files and ringer songs onto it in seconds without reading any instructions.
8) Battery is good so far, but I'm not using it for watching videos, so cant say a lot about that.
9) Camera does burst shot that takes 20 pics in seconds.
What I Like About Android:
1) Way better and more logically structured.
2) The widgets are awesome and more functional than just an icon to an app.
3) Speed. After the first day I got it, i had 20 apps running in the background but didn't even know it cause there was no performance slowdown.
4) Fast for multitasking.
5) Theres a new easy interface for setting up homescreen and other screens like the lock screen.
6) From the lock screen you can directly open the camera instantly, or customize it.
7) Visual Voicemail: I got a voice mail today, and it converted the voice message to text and I could read the voice message while sitting in class.
8) S-Voice Personal assistant. Launch and app, search directions, set the alarm, whatever you want.
9) Fastest benchmark results when using the internet.
10) Detailed data usage charts. See exactly what apps use bandwidth. See by hour day week month.
11) Better status bar, and status bar menu. Customize how you are notified more efficiently than old phone.
12) Power saving feature I love. Customize all the power saving functions you want, then activate/deactivate the power saving mode with one touch.
13) It's functionality feels like a computer more often than a phone. I open pdf and office documents easily and, the email is great.
What It Has That I Don't Use But You Might Like:
1) Motion Gestures, like taking a phone screenshot by cupping your hand in a motion to one side of the screen, or auto dialing a contact by moving the phone up to your ear.
2) Android Beam, transfers music, pictures, or any file, simply by holding two android phones next to each other.
3) TecTiles, some feature for you car I think.
4) Smart Stay, the phone maintains a bright screen as long your looking at it. When you look away it dims the display. If you look back at it, it brightens up.
5) Live effects to transform pictures and video.
6) Face unlock by looking at the phone.
NOW... what people usually find the most informative when reading any review...
What I Do Not Like:
1) The home button is kinda hard to push, I didn't even know it was a button on the first day. There is a terrible "lag" when the home button is pushed before the OS switches to the home screen. I think this is NOT because the phone is slow, but because that button has been tasked for 2 functions: to go home (single press), and to activate S-Voice (double press). So the lag is intentional to see if you are going to double press (bad design).
2) The swipe text input is bad and changes all my words to wrong words, I've been texting by touching each letter, which I hate.
3) There are some pre-installed apps I don't want, but FAR FAR less than my last Samsung product.
4) When pullng down the status bar, it starts from the far "right", and has to slide auto-slide over to the "left" so I can use the silent/vibrate.
5) The sound ON/OFF/VIBRATE status is still the same as old Android, which is confusing to me. Green=sound off or vibrate, Grey=sound on.
6) It multi-tasks good, but I don't see a way to switch between the programs very easily.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, cpu speed, camera quality
Cons: home button
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fix the screen the phone would get 5 stars from me
on December 10, 2012

I overall like my phone. The features are well thought out and the layout is cool and colorful. I HATE how easily the screen cracks. I got the phone the 1st week it came out and they didnt even sell cases for it at the store. The screen shattered with the first drop. The smoothness of the phone doesnt help with holding onto it.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, screen shattered

No flash player available with jellybean

when I purchased this in August i would say 5 stars however since the jellybean update losing flash player it has made me lose alot of the things I was able to do with the phone. even tho samsung is staying ahead of the technology the fact is that flash player hasnt been fazed out yet therefore it makes me want to go find the phone that I can have the flash player along with most of the same features. very unhappy with the fact that I lost the flash player when the s2 still has it along with the epic which I own all of them. I am a samsung fan of the galaxy phones from the first one but now I am very unhappy with the s3.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight, fast, crystal clear viewing of movies
Cons: no flash player with jellybean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing phone

Before choosing the Galaxy S III, I shopped the competition, read the reviews and concluded that there really was no competition. I have waited to post a review until I have had time to actually use the phone, although I keep discovering new featrures! The phone is a convenient size, the screen being easy to view/read, with truly sharp resolution. The camera is capable of taking stunning pictures - as an example, while on a recent trip. I was asked to take a picture using another person's phone - I then took the same picture with my Galaxy SIII - there was no comparison! The resolution, zoom ability and flash make this a great substitute for a compact digital camera.
Other really great features are the abilty to "share" with other Samsung phones by touching; voice recognition texting; the abillity to switch from texting to a voice call by moving the phone. The software, both Samsung's and Android, has performed flawlessly. One of my original concerns about an Android based phone was the possible lack of apps - definitely not a problem!
Bottom line - Am I glad I chose a Galaxy SIII? Absolutely! Would I recommend it? Definitely!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, outstanding features, larger screen size
Cons: unable to print to other than a samsung printer, cannot save apps to the micro sd card
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Phone is Amazing

I come from the epic 4g touch from sprint, and I must say it was a great upgrade, dont get me wrong the epic 4 touch is a good phone as well, but the S3 720p screen makes a difference when it come to watching video and reading, so what why do i give 5 start to the phone, I'm a heavy phone user, honestly im always on it checking email " pretty nice gmail app is very handy " with google chrome web-browser I can sync my bookmarks across all of my devices, the colors are amazing in the screen, honestly what I like the most is how smooth is compared to my old epic 4g touch and galaxy nexus, sadly one of the reasons why i returned the galaxy nexus and swapped it for the S3 was that the processor in the galaxy nexus doesnt run temple run, hehe which is the only gay i play sometimes, witch is kinda weird, but this samsung galaxy s3 has " a dual core 1.5 GHZ, and most important 2GB of RAM, yeah the only phone able to have a whole spare Gig to make my experience very smooth, I def love the screen size, it lets you see what the website contents are pretty well, it feels weird in the beginning bcuz is so lightweight... in time u get used to it, the sound quality is great, and the speakerphone is in the front of the phone ! lol little detail but is good, S-voice comes in handy for the basic tasks we all need like setting up a meeting, alarms and weather. honestly works really nice ! I love the fact that I say GALAXY ! and it wakes up hehehe well, I hope my review helped some people out ty for reading

I wasn't sure how I would like this phone as I have been an Evo user for years! I love this phone. It has great features: easy to use, battery life good, great pictures, wonderful sound quality, very thin, extremely lightweight! I love that you can change the font on the phone ... It makes it soooo much easier to read!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: not enough widgets
I would recommend this to a friend!
