Not the best for consistent signal. I am using the same service that I have used for years and seldom had problems before. This phone frequently fails to send messages or connect calls. It is inconsistent as to whether the voice activation will work with its Siri-like person. Sometimes it talks to you; other times it does not. Battery life is just acceptable. It does take great photos though. Does not connect easily to many blue-tooth devices. Won't connect to printer, photo printer, ear piece. Wi-Fi is good but not great. Many videos end up sound only. I know it is asking a lot from a phone but most do it. Also, since the upgrade, you can no longer block incoming numbers with the menus. I used to able to do that but now I have to write the number down and manually enter it into the blocked call list. Did not used to have to do that. Also, no way to easily stop all of the running aps like you can with other products. It's just ok.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations

I truly wanted to love this phone. I love smartphones and I researched it for several weeks before I finally bought it. I wanted to love it so much that I paid full price for it -off contract. I should have taken it back during my 14 day return period. I kept waiting and hoping things would improve. Even the new update did little if nothing to improve it. I've had four smartphones and I've never had the problems with dropped calls that I have with this one. I've been on the same network through all those smartphones too. It's not unusual for the calls to drop three of four times during one conversation. As I said I've never had that issue before and it's infuriating. Another issue is that I can't talk on the phone via my cars speakers. I don't have bluetooth in my car however I do have a cable that I can connect to the speakers. It's the same system I've used for years and it always works. The sound quality of connecting it to the speakers is horrible and I can't even use it. I can listen to music that way flawlessly but for some reason it won't work with phone calls. That's infuriating too. The reception isn't that great either although that's never been a problem before. I miss being able to make a quick phone call from the back of a store. I can now forget about that even though my old phone did it without issue.
It does have some good things about it. It's feature packed -NFC tags, and S-Beam to name just two. I really like the way it looks. I have the pebble blue and I think it's a nice looking phone. It has good features and I love the screen size. Although it's a big phone, it's light weight and easily fits in my pocket or purse. It's unfortunate that I now find myself researching another phone to buy -off contract again. That's so expensive but no matter how much I want to love this phone -it's a phone and that's what it does worst of all. I love almost everything else about it but dropped calls, not being able to use it in my car and reception are HUGE issues. If those weren't issues then this phone would get 5 stars all the way. I'm very disappointed.

This phone has the potential to be an awesome phone ...IF it didn't have so many technical issues. Highly disappointed!!! :(

Former Iphone User, May Go Back

Got this phone because my iphone went crazy after the latest os "upgrade," and I'd heard good things about the Galaxy SIII.
Day 3 of using the Galaxy, and the phone asked if i wanted to install an upgrade. Guess what happened when i said Yes?
Now, not only does the phone not work at all (at least my iphone maintained slow/erratic functionality), but i have yet to see a store where i can go talk to someone. i'm sure they're around, but this is a bad start to a two year relationship, and if this doesn't get fixed quickly, i'll just go back to the devil i know..

Great Cell Phone!

After having this device which was my 1st Samsung cell phone I decide to switch carriers and upgrade to the Note 2. Now I'm trying to get other family members to upgrade to this same device or get the Galaxy IV once it's been released.
