wish I kept Brand X

I have had several smart phones, but this one is the absolute worst as an actual phone. Will not work in my home or office and has very poor signal strength more than a couple of blocks from a tower. I live in the city and have two towers within 1/2 mile of my house.
Cons: connectivilty
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would like to start off by saying this phone is Beautiful to look at. Feels light but kind of cheap with all the plastic. Battery life could be better as it lasts maybe 12 hours on standby. As soon as you connect to internet watch your battery drain. Pricepoint isn't too good when you have HTC just release their EVO 4G LTE for $50 less with another $50 gift card from BestBuy. Phone is fast and multitasks well. Screen is clear and beautiful. Ringtones are very limited and not very loud as I would like it to be! (I am on call 24/7 and can't hear phone ring when I'm 2 seats away from it...) As a SMARTPHONE this should be looked into for Business Expectations...
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, poor battyer life, too expensive compared to other models, ringtones are too low
I would recommend this to a friend!

JUNK

Lets just say Im done with samsung. will NEVER buy any samsung products again have a 6 month old laptop thats been in for service 3 times now. This phone is junk it takes several swipes to answer a incoming call, if I want to bring up the photo gallery I have to restart the phone every time for it to show the photos, a few times now it has answered calls on its own (yes checked all settings) when on a call that I need to use the keyboard to navigate a menu the screen will blank out or not respond most the time. also the signal strength is really bad phone is roaming all the time and drains the battery very quick
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One huge flaw so far as I see it

The fact that you CANNOT move apps to the SD card is a huge flaw in my opinion. I am an HTC person and was planning on upgrading to the new EVO. Once I found out the new EVO had an embedded battery, I decided there was no way I was going that route. I instead chose the Galaxy S3. I like the phone, but am severely disappointed that I cannot move stuff to the SD card.. I hope they fix this or I will not promote this phone to anyone else..
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, cannot move apps to sd card

Jury Is Still "Out"

I was really anticipating release of this device. The packaging is sleek--battery life is very disappointing.
I am hoping that launch of 4G LTE coverage in my area will improve functionality.
Difficult to read screens as type is reversed (white type on blue background)
Prefer the S II that my best friend owns.
Pros: Lightweight, sleek design
Cons: Did not meet expectations, difficult to read as type is reversed, poor battery life.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very frustrated, hopefully I'll get over the learning curve.

I'm too frustrated to include many details. I have wasted so much time trying to get everything I want to work to work when and how I want them to.
I may end up loving the phone but the learning curve is steep and I really hate Kies... for now at least.
I was very confident purchasing the Galaxy S III without any personal recommendations from within my network because my previous Samsung was great!
I called myself a novice, but that's because I'm a novice to Android. I am by no means a technical novice. A friend who has an iphone and is the tech coordinator at her school tried to help me find settings to change my email display so I could see the text as well as the links, but she couldn't either.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
