After upgrading a very old Sanyo Katana to my SIII, I couldn't be more relieved. Got it for a great price around Thanksgiving, and just received my case, 32GB memory card, and screen protector. Ready to download tons, ready to explore all possibilities.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Missing two features

Although I'm pleased with this phone overall, it's missing two features that I would REALLY like. First, the phone I had before would leave the music controls on the front screen, even when locked, if I was listening at the time it locked. I could still pause or skip without entering my PIN. Second, my son's phone, from a different manufacturer, has an FM tuner built in. Since my gym used FM for the audio on all of the TVs around the room, this would be a huge plus. Since this is supposed to be Samsung's flagship phone, I'd expect it to have a tuner (I'm sure the chip is capable).
Video is beautiful, the phone seems fast, and everything seems to run smoothly. I'm not dissatisfied, but I am a little disappointed.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: missing a really useful feature
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exceeded all expectations. I upgraded from an EVO and have not been disappointed. I made my folks get the new Samsung phone when it first came out and finally got one for myself. I work in at a place where we have multiple iPhone and android users so I was able to research every day pros and cons of multiple phones and OS variations before settling on the S III. I used my folks as guinea pigs to see if they could get used to learning how to use a smart phone. They had always heard that iphone was the easiest to use and to avoid android. I set them up with the Samsung phone and they have never looked back. Not only did they master everyday phone but far exceeded what I thought they could do with this phone. From using the Kindle, various game apps and map utilities, they really love their phones. I also got myself one and it is by far the best phone I have ever owned. I can do all the normal phone stuff to streaming from my home NAS, media share and countless other actions. Call quality is great, I have no problems. The camera is nice and very quick too, allows me to snap shots repeatedly since my dog does not tend to sit still and pose. I have no problem with videos, or websites loading either. The expanded storage is great too. Tons of space for all my junk. Would recommend one for sure to anyone loooking for a new phone.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
