Good, but. . . .

I bought 2 of these for my 3 and 4 1/2 year olds for Christmas 2012. They loved them!! But we were changing batteries daily - until we paid way too much for the rechargeable battery packs.
With the new battery packs these were awesome tablets - until my then 5 year old dropped hers. Not thrown, not dropped while running, just dropped from the height of a 5 year old. The screen cracked and would no longer operate. We replaced it because we had invested in so many apps that the kids loved. Less than a year later -another cracked screen! DEFINITELY NOT DESIGNED "kid tough". At least the price is only half as much as we originally paid.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My son has enjoyed the LeapPad2 for two yrs. We've added books, games, and videos. He's advance in his class due to it. He enjoys learning with it. This system allows him to add characters that he loves: TMNT and Pow Patrol. We Love it!!
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play, Educational

First of all the product is very sturdy, even for a 2 year old to bang around. Easy access to internet to download games. Great front and rear camera. All around great tablet for kids.

This product is great! It is educational and fun for my daughter. It is great for on the go or when I have errands to run. Keeps her entertained for hours. I love leapfrog products and when we ordered it we got it within 5 days instead of the normal 7-10 business days leapfrog suggested. We are extremely satisfied!

It is important to me that long periods of time spent be of educational value. I believe the leap frog is just that. Love that it is protable.Thanks leap frog.

I loved the customer service when I had to replace my daughter's original LeapPad because of a cracked screen.

This is the 3rd leapfrog tablet we have had to buy. My daughter had accidently dropped the other 2 and shattered the screen both times. She's not being rough with it at all its just soo cheaply made. Dissapointed
