Definitely a must have for anyone's Blu Ray collection.
What's great about it: It was great on DVD, Better on Blu Ray
What's not so great: Blu Ray Players are still cost a pretty player

Its got a great story of loyalty, betrayal and just plain great action. If you love action movies this is the movie you can let pass you.

One of the Best Action Movies

This movie has non stop action; one of the best sword fighting movies that you can ever see. It is a little long but when that time is filled with fighting and killing than the lenght is not a bother.
What's great about it: Russel Crowe's Best Movie
What's not so great: Length

Great movie and while its debut on blu-ray didn't go as well as hoped, it still looks and sounds better than DVD. In fact, I thought it looked good even though I knew they had used DNR on it. The bottom-line is that the DNR is noticeable but not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be.
What's great about it: The best it has ever looked and sounded
What's not so great: They used DNR scrubbing away some of the fine detail
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great movie to have in a dvd collection. The story is wonderful and the picture quality is amazing! Also seeing the tank under the chariot in high definition is funny. The extras is pretty cool. I really enjoyed my purchase.

A Classic Movie with Great Picture & Sound

I have always like this movie and said it would be a classic. The blu ray version is great - awesome picture and sound. The new scenes are pretty good and some of them were needed (my opinion) in the theatrical version to fill some of the gaps in the storyline.
What's great about it: Picture and Sound - New Scenes
What's not so great: Can't think of anything

'Gladiator' would rank as one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen, not because it was an awful picture, but because I just expected so much more. Directed by Ridley Scott, the film is much too inconsistent, runs longer than it needs to, and disappoints in the battle sequences. However, fans will probably like this loaded extended edition featuring extra footage not seen in the theatrical version.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
