Sharpness, dynamism, depth

I had it a few days ago and I took more than 300 shots...this is what I was searching...I had more experiences by widely shooting and can be said it is fantastic and easy to use. aparatus. I always use as manuel except the focus and I saw that the image qualities breaken rules even it's small 1^" sensor. The dynamic range is wide and the structural forms are just as origin. No doubt at the pictures colors particularly the wb adjaustement is correcty and you can adjust simply the better...Now I am planning to have a DSC-RX 1R maybe I can wait till it's new version with interchangeble lense capacity. I suggest and recommend frankly to all photo lovers to have one from RX-100 portable, easy to use and amazing pictures you can take.. Even with pe-programmed scenes...
What's great about it: ıso,colors,brıgthness,full image instruction
What's not so great: mobile charger, lower ıso as 50-65
I would recommend this to a friend!

software updates?

I've looked at several reviews of this new Mark2 and would like to ask Sony if some of the criticisms of mode capabilities ie. auto mode only for ring based zoom options will be looked at for software updates.

I've worked with a pro photographer who has the Rx100 and uses it extensively but not the M2.

AMAZING! Great for travel.

This camera gets me so excited, I take it to the office just in case I run into some free time to take some pictures. The photo quality even on "auto" is so crisp it can make anyone a good photographer. I'm literally waiting for the day I need to take a group photo so I can just sync to my phone and take it from there instead of running back and forth #This is an issue I have often#. This camera is compact, durable, crisp, and has every function above what you would need in a point and shoot. The movie quality is excellent as well. This camera has some fun "special effects" that are nice if you do not know anything about photo editing. I'd recommend this camera to both professionals and anyone just looking for an every day camera. I love it!

Miniature Marvel.....

This is a gem of a camera. I LOVE it. It is super small, fast built like a tank and takes stunning images. Low light performance still and video is excellent! All of this and i can slip into my purse or pocket.....
What's great about it: A keeper for sure....
What's not so great: None

Great Pocket Video Camera

I'm a professional cinematographer who owns and operates expensive movie quality equipment. For work I typically travel with many cases of heavy gear so when it comes to documenting family vacations I rather travel with no gear. Even a dslr with lenses is too much for me. On a family vacation to North Carolina I brought my RX-100 that I've only used for filming aerials from remote helicopters. The images I got from this camera were amazing. It only films 60f/s video which is great for slow mo and it has a very fast lens. The image stabilizer combined with a smooth hand allows for great dolly moves . You won't find a better camera this small or cheaper to capture your home movies. Check out what I filmed here http://vimeo.com/93672689

Awesome except doesn't support iOS8

I really really want to use the WiFi features but apparently the software broke with iOS8. Please update your software Sony!
Otherwise so far I love it. I had an RX-100 for 2 years. Just upgraded to the model 3. That in itself is a glowing review because if I didn't like the RX-100 series I wouldn't have been willing to upgrade.

Great Camera

My wife and I bought one of these for a trip we just took to Italy. I had it for a couple of months before and was able to test it and get comfortable with it. I bought extra batteries and 32M memory cards. Bottom line, this is a great camera. I was able to take photos outside in bright sun light, inside museums (no flash) and it is so easy to turn on, shoot and then turn off. I did buy a leather cover and a shoulder strap. This is a tough little camera. The battery last forever (never had one run out suddenly) The photos I bought home from the trip are great. I highly recommend this camera for what you can do with it.

Very Impressive

I'm very impressed with this camera. I used SLRs and DSLRs for years, plus many Canon pocket cameras. I now use a Sony NEX 7 for most photos, but still need a pocketable camera. I must took the RX100 M3 for a week to Banff with friends. Wow! Inside shots and outside, this thing is really great....lots of features, easy to use, great pictures. It does not the extra grip to be added....not sure why it isn't build in. And I don't see why you can't delete all the photos in memory at once, rather than one day at a time, or individually. But other than that, I'm very happy.
