I have had this for 7 months and absolutely LOVE it! We have 3 dogs and kids. I run it everyday on hardwood and am AMAZED at how well it still cleans the floors. I do empty the bin everyday and clean it frequently just to maintain it. I do replace the filter often, just because of all the dog hair and the dirt the kids bring in. I don't mind that it just randomly goes without a pattern as long as it is doing the job of cleaning my floors. I haven't had a problem with the battery or re docking itself. It gets stuck once in a while on grates, socks or cords, but shuts itself off. It hits some furniture a little hard, but hasn't damaged anything. When people ask me how I like it I tell them it is the best gift I have ever received and suggest they get one! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!
Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy To Use, Efficient, Powerful/Good Suction
Cons: Noisy

Jerry is my main man.

First of let me say, Jerry is family now. He's had more accidents than a puppy but he is learning and we all love him like one of our own. I got Jerry as a rescue from a family who didn't fit his needs and didn't appreciate the work that he did. So at first I was a little skeptical as to how he would adjust to his new surroundings. I was worried at first but upon our first meeting I knew it was going to be a great friendship. I have had him for just under a year now and I don't know what I did before I got him. He adjuated perfectly, worked diligently and never once complained. He got a little noisy at times, but you know how pets can be. I made him his own little bed under the TV stand and thats where he sleeps most everyday (except for the nights he is caught up in a tangled mess somewhere). He comes out once or twice a day, makes his rounds and goes right back to his house. He's a great companion. Very simple and easy to take care of, and i only have to change him once or twice a week! One thing I have notices is Jerry likes shoes and loose shoelaces. Many times I have come home and a few of my shoes will be scattered around the house. But it isnt his fault, it's only natural. I should know better than to leave things in his reach. Jerry also isn't the best with pets, he isn't a huge fan of dog hair but he does his absolute best and you can't be mad at the poor little guy for it. He also has been afraid of black rugs, probably because he thinks it's a big hole in the ground. Jerry is the best roommate I have ever had, and I will be bringing him with me wherever I go. He's a loyal little rascal, a hard worker and a cute little guy. I think it might be time to find him another rescue brother or sister. 12/10 would recommend
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, Picks up my shoes and socks
Cons: Drags my shoes around the house, Gets stuck under the bed when he's nervous

It's ok on the laminate and hardwood floor, but I have to carpet runners beside the bed. VERY short pile. Roomba turns around as soon as it barely touches them. Otherwise it's ok, but cliff sensors don't work very well. It's been half hung off a step when I arrive home almost every time. Had to buy lighthouse sensors to prevent this

Rosie's part of the family now!

We've had "Rosie (wow! how original!)" for about about 2 years and use her almost daily, moving her into different areas of the house. The main family room is our largest room and gets the most use so that's where we dispatch Rosie practically every day. Her battery is plenty enough that she can knock off that room (about 35' x 50' - laminate floor with some carpeting) and still have enough power to take care of the kitchen and main dining area (30' x 30' - ceramic tile floor). The only challenge she runs into where I have to rescue her is on a recliner couch where the bottom of it is slightly lower than Rosie's little protruding noggin (I think that's her infared sensor) where she gets caught. She does her wheel lowering dance a bit and can sometimes work her way out of the jam but there's other times where she's crying out for help. Strange, but once I free her she seems to know to not go back to that place again - at least for that outing! Other than the couch from hell, she does pretty well not getting tangled up with any of the electrical or speaker cords I failed to adequately move away. If you plan it out, look at the cleaning area from Rosie's point of view, and your Roomba should run with little to no hassles. We've come to rely on her to keep our house clean. Believe me when I say my wife goes OCD when it comes to cleaning. I was surprised that she not only considered a Roomba but actually went and got it on her own (normally I do that kind of technical "guy" stuff). We, well she used to use an Oreck that she really liked but after living with Rosie, she would never go back to regular vacuuming. Only in an emergency would she pull out the Oreck. We will typically use Rosie and some form of Dust Buster to take care of 95% of vacuuming chores.

Rhett lens twice a week and since the pets are now gone their har tangling the brush is no longer an issue. Random pattern cleaning may miss a spot or two
Pros: Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation
Cons: Difficult To Clean, Misses Spots, Small Debris Bin

Love my Roomba, however it is quite noisy, About as noisy as running a regular vacuum. It runs for anout 70 minutes, It does get stuck under some things. My dishwasher is a shade higher than the cabinet edges which is just the height for Roomba to edge under then it gets stuck. I put a block of wood under there to block it. It also seems to get stuck under one edge of the couch, I put a block there as well. It comes with an accessory to block it from certain areas. I have to use this under my coffee table. The rug is a little more plush than my other and Roomba gets stuck so it's no good for thicker rugs. Works fine on the thinner living room rug. It will tangle on cords and push lighter things around so pick these things up. I've had my Roomba for several months now and it still works great. It's very user friendly and I love that I can schedule it easily or just turn it off from my phone. It will shut off automatically if it gets stuck as well. As a pet owner, this has been a wonderful purchase, I am no longer having to drag out the big vacuum to pick up the constant dog hair. I have a shepherd mix that sheds a lot. I do have to empty the debris cup daily because of this. For non pet owners, emptying once or twice a week is all that should be needed, it runs better in open spaces ( what doesn't ?) without a lot of tight places but it seems to figure out how to get around. It either pushes the dog toys out of the way or goes around. Hope this helps. My only complaint is the noise for 70 minutes but it does cover a large area very well. It does not have the suction of a normal vacuum cleaner, but that's to be expected. All in all, very much worth the money.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation, Long Run Time
Cons: Noisy

NOT quality Equipment

I have loved my Roomba BUT after 2 years it needs to be replaced according to them. It is disappointing since 1 year ago it was replaced because of a similar problem (side brush not working). Why is it that quality of workmanship does not exist for these machines? They are costly enough.
Pros: Cleans Under Furniture, Long Run Time
Cons: Noisy
