My friend, also with a dog that sheds, recommended this product. We've recently moved from an all carpeted home to one with hardwood floors and area rugs, and the dog hair really collected each day if I weren't on top of it. I wanted something that would do most of the job and the roomba 800 series was just the device I needed. It easily traverses area rugs and hardwood, in our large great room of about 1000 sq ft, all on a single charge. I run it just about every day, and spot clean after it. Perfect! Highly recommend this product as it is way better than I expected. Note: keep it clean and it performs better.

Cons: Gets stuck, Small Debris Bin

I love my Roomba. I want to own a couple more. I would suggest to anyone to is busy, disabled or elderly to purchase one. It is like have someone help you to do the vacuuming. I let the Roomba clean my floors while I am doing other chores. It is great!

I love this robot -- we have three dogs and the same amount of cats so you now know why we purchased the Roomba. The only issue we have with this unit is the inability to clean hair out of the black and white ball. It takes us forever to remove hair and this seems to impede the efficiency of movement. Hair also collects around the two main brush ends but at least they can be easily removed for cleaning unlike the black and white swivel ball.

My husband came home with this model 3 days ago, so far we are loving it! I used to vacuum the floor 5 times a day due to our dog loosing so much hair. This vacuum does great but I cannot get it to go back to the dock when its getting ready to die (so it just dies in the middle of the floor) It will not turn on to the schedule that I set for it either.. I'm not sure if it is user error or the vacuum is messed up
Pros: Easy To Install
Cons: Dirt pan is WAY to small

I have an 800 sq.ft. apartment and my Roomba cleans all of it. Hard floors carpet it dose not mater the Roomba cleans it all, on a schedule and without any input or effort from me.

I use Roomba to keep my main living room clean and it is very stress relieving to come home to a freshly vacuumed house! It is also much easier to clean than my older 410.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Easy To Use, Handles Floor Obstacles, Long Run Time, Schedule

Simply push start, move obstacles, keep filter clean, and always dock clean! It has picked up so much cat hair and for the first time ever I feel my floors are "really" clean. I have been watching this for quite some time and am truly amazed at the performance. Thank you so very much!
