As my third model, I love that the brushes have a cap on the end to keep the dust and hair from building up. The cleaning tool is updated as well. Kudos! The battery life seems to be extended on this one- or just new perhaps so longer life. I can clean 2 bedrooms, hallway, then put it in the living room/dining room to finish cleaning and put itself away while I go somewhere else or leave the house.
Pros: Easy To Use, Extends Functionality, Increases Performance, fixes those iritations from the last models

Overall very happy! Pete could be smarter, quieter, and cords trip him up a bit but he's finding dirt in my home that I would have bet against. Very pleased after 3 runs. He takes a long time and almost knocked over Christmas tree, but didn:t!! I had my home professionally cleaned a week ago and Pete filled 3 bins of dust and stuff in his first 3 runs. Fun to watch him learn!

Have four bedrooms I do one room in the house each day. "Bo" does a much better job than I've ever done....under beds in corners around base boards.....without my help!!! It's easily cleaned and stored in a corner of any room. Pets love it. They can shed and Roomba will clean up!

I use it for all floors normally between my house cleaner coming and using the big vacuum but she just got a full time job so no more help every two weeks so back to doing it myself. Myrtle is great and I have severe breathing problems,and bad back, and other diseases, or health problems. I can't do my cleaning like I used to so this is my second Rhoomba, my husband had the one for garages that quit and if this one quits afraid I can't afford them again which worry's me. My daughter had one and after it quit couldn't afford another either. She has two cats and a dog at her house, and I and my husband have a small dog. He has dementia too and can't help and with me in poor health roomba is a life saver.
Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy To Use, Efficient, Great Vacuuming, Have Copd Allergy'sback, Lightweight, Pet Hair Great At It

This is such a great invention. Life is short, might as well enjoy it and leave the vacuuming to our new best friend---Molly Maid. No need to worry about dust collecting under your bed. Just make sure the floor is clutter free and Molly is ready to go.

I bought this unit about 2 months ago. The first time I used it, it ended up with a few scratches. The next time, I followed it around and still ended up with scratches(not only on the sides but also on the top) and getting stuck. I have a tiny apartment and it keeps navigating around without cleaning half of the space and runs out of battery. I contacted iRobot and sent them a video of its functioning. They sent me a couple of bumper stickers to try. I patiently tried them only to find them come off half way through their first use and the unit ended up with more scratches. Now it has numerous scratches and navigates poorly and cleans very little. It seems like there is no sensor on the top to stop it from moving under low clearance objects and it ends up getting stuck and this causes scratches on the top. I have to baby sit it which defeats the purpose of buying one. It was a complete waste of my time, energy and money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is most effective when you pick up obstacles that impede its movement such as cords, toys, plants, chairs or tables that have legs that are close together, bed-covers that lay on the floor, or anything that is easily picked up and moved. After all, you would do the same when using a conventional upright or canister vacuum system - so what's the problem. Moreover, we limit its cleaning cycle to one room at a time for optimum efficiency and clean its filter and brush roller mechanism after each room use. We also use it on both the car and boat garages whenever we pull the vehicles out to go somewhere. Too cool. We look forward to replacing our current one with the latest model, but the Model 650 been doing such a great job that we will wait until something major breaks before we replace. If it had a higher capacity debris collecting chamber I would take it to my workshop and buy the latest model for the house

This won't clean as well as a high powered vac with attachments, but it does an exceptional job of cleaning more frequently than I would in areas people use the most - (IE not tiny corners), which is where the most dirt and debris can be found. I believe it has extended the life of my carpet by vacuuming more frequently and for longer periods of time than I would do. I love it
