Gas, slide in stove with 5 burners.

good looking product. we moved in and bought all 3 items; stove, frig and dish washer. i converted to gas and insstalled stove since i like to cook and i can't figure out what heat a #4 is vs. just looking at the size of flame. Stove has met our needs across the board. Was comparing to high end alternatives (Wolfe, Bosch, Miele, etc). Salesman said GE was best option for the price. SS picks up minor scrathes easily and I wish the stove top was black like the higher end products but that's nbd. Overall satisfied and would recomend.

Control panel fried 2x, each time just days before a party, an expensive repair that is obviously well known. Why would I choose GE again?

We spent a lot of money on this oven with the expectation that GE would provide a quality product. Almost immediately the bulbs in the combination microwave/range vent began to burn out constantly. I replaced them with LED bulbs and solved that problem. At 13 months one of the door hinges on the oven broke. We paid to have that repaired. At 3 years old the microwave began to malfunction. When we tried to replace the safety switch we discovered that every piece of plastic at every connection point was shattered, as if the torque setting was too high at the time of assembly. Needless to say the microwave could not be repaired. In the meantime, several trim pieces broke off for no apparent reason. Several months ago the main control panel began to malfunction and now does not work at all, leaving us with no oven. After spending several thousand dollars on this appliance only 5 years ago it now must be replaced. We will never purchase a GE product again.

The oven door doesn’t close properly after one year of use. The big burner doesn’t work properly any longer also.

For the issue with the burner, we recommend disconnecting the range from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it.
