I bought this to store DVDs. You have to unlock the right-hand door (with a key, which is included), then reach around inside to unlatch the left-hand door. There is a vertical divider in the middle which is in the way. So, you need to leave open space in the middle of the top shelf in order to use the latch, which is storage space lost. Some DVD cases may be a bit too deep to allow the doors to close without some adjusting. I am able to make this cabinet work for what I need, but it definitely wasn't meant specifically for DVDs; also not for large video cases (such as Disneys). Wasted space, an awkward locking system -- it's okay and fits in the space I have for it, but it's not the best cabinet I've ever owned.
What's great about it: Nice looking cabinet, good capacity
What's not so great: Inconvenient locking setup, not great for all DVDs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not Worth The Money

Over all good design. Not too difficult to put together. There were no pre drilled holes for the lock to be installed however. The second door does not secure unless you really push in on it to put the bolt in place. The lock broke within a few days. Top board split when tacking on the backing. Scratches very easily. The edges were looking worn just from the other pieces sitting on top of each other. In our opinion...not worth the price at all.
What's great about it: compact design with fair storage space
What's not so great: scratches easily, lock broke w/in a few days, top piece split when tackin on the backing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i would have to say that this product is pretty good, the only problem is it's not the easiest to put together. but once thats done it great you get a real key not just a cheap one used to open new house bedroom doors, but a master lock key. it's weighted at the bottem so after you have your valuables inside not so easy to get stolen. nice cherry color. but i must stress i put a few peices on backwards just because of lack of explaining. im not the best at writing as you can tell but i thought i would put my two cents in.
What's great about it: You can lock your media such as DVDs and Cds
What's not so great: Way too many peices, assembly directions are too broad
I would recommend this to a friend!

It wasn't too difficult to assemble. No pieces were missing. I assembled it by myself. It looks fairly small from the outside but it holds a lot. Only wish that Best Buy was able to ship to the local store so I could pick up rather than having to pay $38 for shipping.
What's great about it: capacity for price, looks nice
What's not so great: no ship to store available
I would recommend this to a friend!
